摘要： A breakaway knuckle for an arm of a car wash is disclosed. The knuckle allows the arm of a car wash to receive an impact from a vehicle without breaking and return the arm to its original position automatically. The knuckle preferably comprises a joint having a series of inclined grooves and corresponding balls. The knuckle is spring loaded to actuate the return of the arm to an in-use position after an impact, and the balls roll into the grooves to hold the arm in place.

摘要： A membrane probing assembly includes a support element having an incompressible forward support tiltably coupled to a rearward base and a membrane assembly, formed of polyimide layers, with its central region interconnected to the support by an elastomeric layer. Flexible traces form data/signal lines to contacts on the central region. Each contact comprises a rigid beam and a bump located in off-centered location on the beam, which bump includes a contacting portion. After initial touchdown of these contacting portions, further over-travel of the pads causes each beam to independently tilt locally so that different portions of each beam move different distances relative to the support thus driving each contact into lateral scrubbing movement across the pad thereby clearing away oxide buildup. The elastomeric member backed by the incompressible support ensures sufficient scrub pressure and reliable tilt recovery of each contact without mechanical straining of the beam. In an alternative embodiment, the contacts comprise conductive beams each supported on a loose U-shaped flap formed in the membrane assembly where each flap and beam is tiltably supported in inclined position by an elastomeric hub interposed between the flap and support.

The lawn mower (10) includes; a mower deck (14) having an opening (58) therein forming a passageway through which grass clippings exit the cutting chamber during select modes of operation. The lawn mower also includes a grass-collecting hopper (40) removably mounted on the mower deck (14), the grass-collecting hopper (40) having a basket portion (42) for receiving grass clippings cut by the cutting blade (36) and a multi-station mounting portion (60) configured to interface with the opening (58) in the mower deck in a plurality of orientations. The mounting portion includes a mulching station (64) that configures the lawn mower to function as a mulching mower, a bagging station (66) that configures the lawn mower to function as a bagging mower, and a side-discharge station (68) that configures the lawn mower to function as a side-discharge mower. When the multi-station mounting portion mounts the grass-collecting hopper on the mower deck, a single one of the stations interfaces with the opening in the mower deck to configure the lawn mower for desired mode of operation.

摘要： A probe station includes a fully guarded chuck assembly and connector mechanism for increasing sensitivity to low-level currents while reducing settling times. The chuck assembly includes a wafer-supporting first chuck element surrounded by a second chuck element having a lower component, skirting component and upper component each with a surface portion extending opposite the first element for guarding thereof. The connector mechanism is so connected to the second chuck element as to enable, during low-level current measurements, the potential on each component to follow that on the first chuck element as measured relative to an outer shielding enclosure surrounding each element. Leakage current from the first chuck element is thus reduced to virtually zero, hence enabling increased current sensitivity, and the reduced capacitance thus provided by the second chuck element decreases charging periods, hence reducing settling times. With similar operation and effect, where any signal line element of the connector mechanism is arranged exterior of its corresponding guard line element, such as adjacent the chuck assembly or on the probe-holding assembly, a guard enclosure is provided to surround and fully guard such signal line element in interposed relationship between that element and the outer shielding enclosure.

摘要： A pivotal handle for a food service table is disclosed. The handle includes two elongated, parallel curved bar members. Each member has an outwardly extending arm and an outwardly extending leg. The legs have means for pivotably attaching the handle to the underside of the table. In its operative position, the handle is pivoted upwardly so that the arms are located above the top of the table. Locking means such as a quick release pin is inserted into an opening formed in the leg which locks the handle in place. When the table is ready to be used as a dining table or to be stored, the pin is removed so that the handle may now be rotated downwardly and stored under the table. A spring clip may be attached to the underside of the table which secures the handle in place when the handle is in the stored position.
