摘要： A two-wheeled cart includes a generally planar frame adapted and constructed to bear a load. At least one handle is secured to the frame. A pair of wheels is secured generally along a central axis of the frame. The wheels are arranged one substantially directly behind the other with respect to a direction of travel of the cart. In an embodiment, a pair of handles are detachably secured to the frame. The frame can further include an in-use handle mounting mechanism to retain the at least one handle in an in-use position outside the plane of the frame. A storage handle mounting mechanism can be provided to retain the at least one handle in a storage position generally coplanar with the frame. The wheels can be detachably secured to the frame.

摘要： Described is a collapsible cart for transporting items from a first surface to a raised surface. The collapsible cart comprises a platform, for carrying items thereon, wherein the platform comprises a front edge and a back edge. A collapsible front leg is attached to the platform. The collapsible front leg comprises an front upper leg and a front lower leg. Connected to the front upper leg and to the front lower leg is a spring biased to rotate the front lower leg towards an extended position relative to the front upper leg. A front release mechanism persuades the collapsible front legs to be withdrawn towards the platform. A collapsible rear leg is also attached to the platform. The collapsible rear leg comprises a rear upper leg, a rear lower leg and a spring connected there between biased to rotate the rear lower leg towards an extended position relative to the rear upper leg. A rear release mechanism allows the collapsible rear leg to be withdrawn towards the platform.

摘要： A household cart has a wooden or molded plastic rectangular base for carrying household items. Four caster assemblies on the base are close to the four corners of the base. A U-shaped handle has hooks for carrying household items approximately halfway between side edges of the base, about equidistant from front and back edges of the base. The handle can be positioned either transversely or longitudinally of the base. In the handle transverse position, legs of the handle fit into a first pair of receptacles located between (1) the casters close to the base back edge and (2) the cart transverse center line. In the longitudinal position, the legs fit into a second pair of receptacles located along a longitudinal center line of the base. The receptacles of the first pair are spaced from each other by the same distance as the receptacles of the second pair. The handle has hooks for carrying the household items and is selectively extendable so it can carry relatively long household items, such as pants, skirts and topcoats. The handle has spring properties and is dimensioned so it can fit around and be stowed on skirts on the caster assemblies, enabling the cart to be put in small spaces, such as an automobile trunk.

The base comprises a frame assembly having a width dimension and a depth dimension, first, second, third, and fourth wheels attached to the frame assembly such that the frame assembly may be moved, and a locking system. The locking system comprises a lock housing, a lock member, a drive member, and a magnetic portion. The lock housing defines a lock chamber. The lock member is slideably mounted within the lock chamber and moves between an unlocked position and a locked position in which the lock member frictionally engages the floor surface. Axial rotation of the drive member causes the drive member to move towards or away from the floor surface. The drive member is located above the lock member and is capable of rotating with respect to the lock member. The magnetic portion is arranged such that upward movement of the drive member causes upward movement of the lock member without inhibiting the ability of the drive member to rotate relative to the lock member.

The handle, when folded, extends from the midpoint of the forward dual wheel assembly over the folded wheels to the rear of the folded cart and clasps to the rear of the folded cart.
