A movable electrode is positioned with respect to the first and second fixed electrodes so that the position of the movable electrode can be selectively placed in one of two opposing states defined by the fixed electrodes. The stored elastic potential energy of the movable electrode and its flexible supporting structure is used for switching between the two states. An electrostatic hold voltage is used to hold the movable electrode in the two switch states.

摘要： The present invention is a holographic reconstruction device for reconstructing successive holograms previously recorded by a recording reference beam in a recording medium, each previously recorded successive hologram being spaced apart a recording displacement. The recording reference beam has a recording wavelength in the range where the recording medium is photosensitive and a recording propagation angle. The device comprises a reconstruction mechanism having a reconstruction reference beam with a reconstruction wavelength in the range where the recording medium is relatively photo-insensitive and a reconstruction propagation angle. The reconstruction reference beam is provided onto the recording medium. Also, a succession of relative displacements in the recording medium is produced and each of the displacements are equal to the distance of the recording displacements with which the holograms were previously recorded. In addition, a detection device detects reconstruction of the previously recorded holograms at the reconstruction wavelength.

摘要： An architecture for holographic data storage and processing integrates multifunctional silicon-based optoelectronic devices, rewritable holographic material, optical devices and other electro-optical elements in compact and high-performance systems. A dynamic hologram refresher based on optoelectronic integrated circuits has a smart pixel structure including an electrically addressed SLM to write a new data page, a thresholding detector array for readout, and a memory to latch the data from the detector to the modulator in each pixel. In particular, conjugate reconstruction is used in combination with the dynamic hologram refresher to retrieve data from volume multiplexed holograms in the rewritable holographic material.

摘要： Titania-based porous nanoparticle coatings are mechanically robust, with low haze, which exhibit short time scales for decomposition of fingerprint oils under ultraviolet light. The mechanism by which a typical dactylogram is consumed combines wicking of the sebum into the nanoporous titania structure followed by photocatalytic degradation. These TiO2 nanostructured surfaces are also anti-fogging, anti-bacterial, and compatible with flexible glass substrates and remain photocatalytically active in natural sunlight.

At least first and second hardmasks are deposited on a substrate, the thickness and materials of the first and second hardmask selected to provided etch selectivity with respect to the substrate. A nanoscale pattern of photoresist is created on the first hardmask and the hardmask is etched through to create the nanoscale pattern on a second hardmask. The second hardmask is etched through to create the desired taper nanocone structures in the substrate. Reactive ion etching is preferred. A glass manufacturing process using a roller imprint module is also disclosed.
