    • An exemplary connection system includes an I2C bus and two or more devices. Each device has a dip switch, a MCU, and a bus controller. The dip switch is configured for assigning an address to the device. The MCU is connected to the dip switch and configured for detecting whether the device is a master or a slave device according to the address assigned by the dip switch. The bus controller is connected to the MCU and the I2C bus, and is configured for converting a data transmission mode between the MCU and the bus controller. In this system, at least one device is a master device and at least one device is a slave device, the master device is capable of monitoring the slave device, and the slave device is capable of transmitting information to the master device.

    • A zero-crossing point detection circuit includes a hot line input, a neutral line input, a first zero-crossing point output, and a first optical coupler. The first optical coupler includes a first light-emitting diode (LED) and a first optical transistor. The hot line input and neutral line input are respectively connected to two terminals of the first LED. An emitter of the first optical transistor is grounded. A collector of the first optical transistor is connected to a direct current (DC) power source. The collector of the first optical transistor is also connected to the first zero-crossing point output.

    • A signal monitoring circuit includes a plurality of sensors, a meter chip, a micro control unit (MCU), and a multiplexer. The sensors are adapted for collecting electrical signals of an electrical system, and each of the sensors correspondingly generates an output signal. The multiplexer is adapted for receiving the output signal of each of the sensors. The MCU controls the multiplexer to selectively output one of the output signals. The meter chip receives the selected one of output signals from the multiplexer and generates corresponding meter signals to the MCU.

    • A signal monitoring system includes four sensors, a multiplexer, a signal converting circuit, and a monitor chip. The multiplexer is electrically connected to the sensors for receiving the signals from the sensors. The multiplexer includes two selecting ports for selecting one of the sensors to communicate with the multiplexer, and a data bus for transmitting the signals generated by the selected sensor. The signal converting circuit includes an ADC electrically connected to the multiplexer for converting analog signals output therefrom to digital signals, and an MCU electrically connected to the ADC and the multiplexer. The MCU includes a digital port electrically connected to the monitor chip for outputting digital signals thereto, and a timer electrically connected to the monitor chip for outputting pulse signals thereto. The monitor chip is for processing the digital signals or pulse signals. A related signal monitoring method is also disclosed.
