    • The invention relates to an inverter circuit (80) which comprises first and second switching means (1, 2) that are connected, in an electrical path (10), in series to one another and parallel to a DC link capacitor (20). Said inverter circuit (80) also comprises an output (9) and two inputs (11, 12) which are each electrically-conductively connected to a pole of the DC link capacitor (20) and can each be connected to a pole of an energy store. Said inverter circuit (80) also comprises a voltage limitation element (30) which is electrically-conductively connected to the electrical path (10) by a first connection between the two switching means (1, 2), and to the control connection (3) of the second switching means (2) by a second connection. According to the invention, a capacitor (40) is arranged in said electrically-conductive connection between the voltage limitation element (30) and the control connection (3) of the second switching means (2), and a reference voltage source (50) is electrically-conductively connected to the first connection of said voltage limitation element (30).

Apparatus may include a timing block configured to generate a repetitive trigger signal having a first frequency, and further configured to generate a clock signal having a second frequency. Apparatus may also include a sensing block coupled with the timing block and configured to, in response to the repetitive trigger signal, detect a change in capacitance associated with an object proximate to a capacitive sensor button by applying an excitation signal to the capacitive sensor button during a measurement period. Apparatus further include a wake logic block coupled with the sensing block and configured to transition a processing unit from a first power consumption state to a second power consumption state in response to the sensing block detecting the change in capacitance associated with the object proximate to the capacitive sensor button.

    • In a drive unit for a switching element, a drive circuit changes the switching element between an on-state and an off-state, by controlling a potential difference between a reference terminal, which is one of a pair of ends of a current path of the switching element, and an opening-closing control terminal of the switching element. A determination section determines, if an on-operation command or an off-operation command is inputted as an operation signal for the switching element, whether or not the potential difference has reached a specific value toward which the potential difference shifts, in response to one of the operation commands, with respect to a threshold value by which the switching element is turned on. A forcible processing section removes charge for turning on the switching element from the opening-closing control terminal, if the determination section determines that the potential difference has not reached the specific value.
