摘要： A lockset is actuable by pivoting a handle about a longitudinal axis of the lockset by rotating the handle and by pivoting the handle about an axis transverse to the lockset axis, such as by pushing or pulling. The lockset includes an inside handle and an outside handle, each associated with an independent mechanism, each of which can independently actuate the lockset. A locking mechanism prevents actuation of a first one of the independent handle mechanisms without affecting operation of the other handle mechanism. Upon actuation of the other handle mechanism, a retractor engages a surface of the locking mechanism and removes it from engagement with the first locking mechanism. An adjustment ring has a first configuration that centers the lockset in a door having a first standard thickness and a second configuration that centers the lockset in a door having a second standard thickness.

摘要： A door handle for motor vehicles includes a handle body and a cover which cooperate to form a handle for a user. An accommodating space for electronic components is formed between the handle body and the cover. A capacitive proximity sensor is arranged in the space. The sensor has an active capacitive face directed towards the cover for detecting approaching movements. The capacitive face is coupled to an evaluation circuit which detects changes in the capacitance of the capacitive face. A sealing element composed of a closed-cell foam is located in the space. The sealing element has at least one continuous opening spaced from an edge. The opening is located above the active face of the proximity sensor and is compressed between the cover and the handle body with the result that at least one area above the active face of the sensor is free of foam.

An actuator is movable between a knob position in which only one of the first biasing member and the second biasing member biases the spindle toward the first position and a lever position in which both the first biasing member and the second biasing member cooperate to bias the spindle toward the first position.

摘要： A cabinet closure device is made from a section of nylon or similar cord and utilizes one or more cord stop devices to form a loop of cord that is adjustable and securable around two objects to be secured from movement or opening. A user slides the closure device around two objects and then pulls on one or each of the loop ends to secure the closure device around the objects. To release the closure device, the user need only release the cord stop and the closure device will be loosen and the objects (doors or drawers for example) may be opened. For the best function, the knot on the end of the cord that does not have the traditional cord stop should be pulled tight against the main cord stop. Once the unit is placed around the knobs of a cabinet, the user can simply pull the 2nd cord to tighten the device. Once tight, the additional cord stop can be slid upwards abutting the main cord stop. In this configuration, the cord is locked on both ends securely and cannot be forced open.
