摘要： A method of fabricating glow-in-the-dark gazing globes or other objects, as well as the articles that result. The method comprises the steps of providing a hollow form having an inner wall made from a transparent or translucent material, the form including an aperture for gaining access to the interior thereof, and introducing one more photoluminescence or phosphorescent pigments into the form through the aperture so that they cling to the inner wall. In alternative embodiments, the pigments may be applied without an adhesive, as by naturally cling, vacuum evaporation, or other techniques. In a gazing globe embodiment, a stand may be included. In the preferred embodiment the method further includes the step of applying an adhesive to the inner wall of the form prior to the step of introducing one more photoluminescence of phosphorescent pigments. A plurality of different pigments may be introduced into the form to create a decorative or swirling effect.

摘要： A clear crystalline faceted substrate is provided with a coating of a colored transparent ink in order to enhance the appearance of the otherwise inexpensive gem stone. The ink is a permanent type ink made from n-propanol, n-butanol and diacetone alcohol which is soluble in a solution having a isopropyl alcohol 99% strength. Once the coating has been applied to a substrate such as a cubic zirconia to enhance the appearance of the gem stone, the coating can be removed by use of the solvent. A fresh coating of a different color may then be applied.

A glass plate is cut into glass pieces of a certain shape including a pentagon member and a hexagon member. The hexagon member consists of one six-sided irregular member and three four-sided irregular members. The glass pieces of the certain shape are united together via a bonding agent to obtain the three dimensional stained glass imitating the shape of a soccer ball. The glass piece has a curved surface whose radius of curvature is set substantially equal to the radius of the soccer ball.

摘要： A heat-transfer label that may be used, for example, to decorate clear glass articles in such a way as to give such articles the appearance of having been frosted. In a preferred embodiment, the label includes (a) a support portion in the form of a sheet of paper overcoated with a release layer of polyethylene, (b) a skim coat of wax overcoated onto the polyethylene release layer and (c) a transfer portion, the transfer portion including a protective lacquer layer printed onto the skim coat, an ink layer printed onto the protective lacquer layer, and an adhesive layer printed onto the ink layer, as well as onto any exposed portions of the underlying protective lacquer layer and onto a surrounding area of the skim coat. The protective lacquer layer comprises a solvent-soluble phenoxy resin that has been cross-linked by a melamine resin. The ink layer comprises a design printed with a frosted ink, the frosted ink preferably comprising a solvent-soluble phenoxy resin, a silica and a colorant. The adhesive layer comprises a phenoxy resin of the type present in a water-based phenoxy resin dispersion.
