摘要： An adjustable position blocking device for sliding closures that firmly attaches to a glass pane of a closure and limits the sliding translation of the sliding panels of the closure. One embodiment comprises an elongated track (30) which adheres to a glass pane with very high bonding double-sided tape (40). The one embodiment also comprises a blocking slider (10) that adjustably attaches to track (30) at a plurality of track positions and is substantially tall to block the sliding translation of the sliding panels. Slider (10) comprises a modular attachment means that permits the slider (10) to be customized with blocking modules (22, 86, 96) of different form and function. In addition, one embodiment comprises a blocking module (96) which integrates an electronic device to detect the opening of a sliding closure and alert a user, a remote device or a remote system.

A second component is adapted to be secured at a lower or upper edge of a door, the second component having a locking member arranged to move into the slot when the locking member is aligned with the slot and the door is in the open position.

摘要： A security lock is described which permits a door to be opened by a predetermined amount while maintaining security against forced entry. Preferably, the security lock also functions as a deadbolt lock and comprises a slotted floor plate covering an aperture in the floor, a vertical bolt extendable into the aperture, and a lock mechanism which raises and lowers the bolt into and out of engagement with the floor plate. In a first engaged position, the end of the bolt is locked into engagement with the floor plate in such a manner that the door may be partially open. However, the bolt cannot be removed from the floor plate with the door open, thus providing security against forced entry through the partially open door. In a second engaged position, with the door completely closed, the bolt may be raised or lowered into or out of engagement with the floor plate, similar to a conventional deadbolt lock. The security lock therefore provides improved security and convenience over known devices such as door chains and security doorstops.

摘要： A rod end lock for latching heavy objects. The rod end lock has a barrel with a mounting end and a latch end. The latch end has a bite portion such that a keeper is secured at a location centered about the axis of the barrel. The mounting end is coaxial with the barrel and has the same centerline. A locking element is movably connected to the barrel and is biased in a closed position such that the locking element and the bite portion form an enclosed space therebetween for latching the keeper. The keeper is released by actuating the locking element to the open position thereby overcoming the bias to the closed position.
