摘要： An internal molding having a predetermined shape of a hollow portion of a manifold is integrally molded by blow molding or the like, and external molding elements having a predetermined shape of the exterior of the manifold and being split into a plurality of parts are molded. The internal molding is integrated with the external molding elements by adhesion or fusion. Further, an external molding is molded, and an internal molding having a shape substantially identical with or smaller than a predetermined shape of a hollow portion of the hollow resin molding is integrally molded. Then, the internal molding is softened by arranging the internal molding inside the external molding and heating the internal molding, and the inside of the internal molding is thereafter pressurized to cause the internal molding to contact the external molding, so that the internal molding is integrated with the external molding. Still further, an internal molding is integrated with an external molding elements by an appropriate joining means. Then, a flange member is fitted to a first connecting portion formed by the respective external molding elements and the internal molding. Still further, an internal molding is integrated with an external molding elements by an appropriate joining means. Then, a seal member is inserted into a gap portion at an end portion of the hollow resin molding as well as between the external molding and the internal molding.

摘要： A compact combination engine air cleaner/noise deadener for installation in the engine compartment of a motor vehicle type engine includes a two piece plastic elongated housing that is compact and has an ambient air inlet at one end radially spaced from an air outlet to the engine located on the axis of the housing, the inlet containing a first noise attenuating venturi, the housing having an air filter at the other end connected to the venturi and discharging air into a second convergent-divergent flow control noise attenuating venturi with which is integrated a mass air flow sensor, the venturis being surrounded by a dead air space type resonating chamber that has an inlet concentric with the air outlet so that engine feedback noises and sound waves are trapped in the chamber and dissipated, and any sound waves passing serially into the venturis bounce off the walls of the venturi diffusers to also be dissipated, thus minimizing the transmission of engine feedback noises past the air cleaner.

摘要： A decorative speaker cover and a method for fabricating a speaker cover for use in a ceiling or wall comprising panels, the speaker cover having an appearance which blends with other panels so that it conceals the presence of a speaker system while providing satisfactory transmission of sound from the speaker system. The decorative speaker cover is fabricated by first forming a mold liner suitable for generating a facsimile of a ceiling or wall panel. Next, the mold liner is placed in a molding container and a closed cell expandable foam system is uniformly spread over the mold liner so that the foam rises vertically. The thickness of the resulting cast is reduced to a dimension below which acoustic transmission loss is not discernable by human ears.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a membrane for an electro-acoustic transducer through spray coating of a liquid elastomer solution is provided. The method includes spraying the liquid elastomer solution, which may comprise a silicone, onto a mold having the desired membrane geometry, allowing the solution to cure and remove the membrane from the mold. The mold can be configured to hold other components of an electro-acoustic transducer that will be attached to the membrane after the curing step. Also provided is a membrane for an electro-acoustic transducer comprised of an elastomer and made using spray coating of a liquid elastomer solution.
