    • There is described an image-capturing apparatus, which has plural kinds of image sensors, sensitivities of which are different relative to each other, for recording wide dynamic range image data, and an image processing apparatus for applying optimization processing to the wide dynamic range image data. The image capturing apparatus includes a scene-referred raw data generating section to generate scene-referred raw data sets; a scene-referred image data synthesizing section to synthesize scene-referred image data; a synthesizing-information data generating section to generate synthesizing-information data; an output-referred image data generating section to generate output-referred image data by applying an optimization processing to the scene-referred image data; a differential data generating section to generate differential data between the scene-referred image data and the output-referred image data; and a controlling section to store the output-referred image data attached with the synthesizing-information data and the differential data into a storage medium.

    • The present invention provides an electrical connector (1) which has a flexible printed circuit (FPC) and slider, in which the manufacturing cost is low, and the assembly work is simple. The electrical connector (1) is equipped with an insulating housing (10) having a plurality of electrical terminals (21, 22), an FPC (30) has a plurality of conductive pads formed on its surface and both sections (31, 32) of which are electrically connected to the terminals (21, 22), and a slider (50) is clamped within the FPC (30). A lower surface of second section (32) of the FPC (30) is folded back and fastened to a lower surface of the first section (31) of the FPC (30). Prescribed terminals (21) are electrically connected to conductive pads (35a) on an upper surface of the first section (31) of the FPC (30), while prescribed terminals (22) of the other terminals (22) are electrically connected to conductive pads (35b) on an upper surface of the second section (32) of the FPC (30). The housing (10) is a single integral member which is formed by molding from an insulating resin.

    • A peripheral device of the invention is capable of data communication with a host device via one of a first-type interface and a second-type interface having different data communication-related specifications. The peripheral device has a single connector for making electric connection selectively with a first-type connector or a second-type connector. The peripheral device also has a controller for performing an initial connection process that makes a logical connection between the peripheral device and the host device via the first-type interface or the second-type interface. While the physical connection is maintained, the controller breaks the logical connection established by the initial connection process and subsequently makes another logical connection between the peripheral device and the host device.

    • An electronic device has: an operation unit; a power supply unit; an input changeover switch; and a controller. The power supply unit is supplied commercial power and supplies the operating power to the operation unit. The input changeover switch switches between supplying or not supplying the commercial power to the power supply unit. The controller controls the input changeover switch. The controller includes: a power input portion; a control signal input portion; and a switching signal output portion. When the device power is being supplied from a master electronic device to the power input portion and the control signal from the master electronic device is received by the control signal input portion, the switching signal output portion outputs to the input changeover switch a signal instructing to switch and supply the commercial power to the power supply unit.
