    • A conduit connector assembly which receives an end of a conduit carrying electrical wires includes a fitting body, an end stop grommet and a spring clip. The end stop grommet and the spring clip are each mounted to the fitting body. The spring clip is disposed within an interior bore of the fitting body and has a resiliently flexible body and a gripping end portion on the body defining a grip end. The grip end has a substantially scalloped configuration for gripping and fitting partially about the conduit so as to center the grip end of the spring clip body on the conduit. The grip end having the scalloped configuration is in the form of an arcuate concave-shaped edge surface on the gripping end portion of the body. The grip end of the spring clip body makes line contact with an inner convolution on an exterior of the conduit and makes at least a single point contact with an outer convolution on the exterior of the conduit. The grip end may be disposed at a predetermined angle for matching a predetermined pitch angle of the convolutions on the exterior of the conduit and thereby make line contact with the inner convolution on the exterior of the conduit and make a pair of point contacts with the outer convolution on the exterior of the conduit.

    • An electrical box includes a U-shaped main body and a pair of sidewalls. Each of the sidewalls includes coupling flanges along their transverse edges and along one of their longitudinal edges for overlapping edges of the main body. In some embodiments, the main body has opposite side edges, each side edges having a pair of flanges extending from a midpoint on a rear panel and along the end panels. The flanges on the sidewall are formed to complement the flanges on the main body to overlap with each other in a coupling relation. The main body and sidewalls are formed from a folded blank. The main body is constructed so that a plurality of identical main bodies can be ganged with the flanges of a first main body telescoping with the flanges of a second main body.

    • A folded electrical box for mounting an electrical wiring device to a support member. Preferably, the electrical box is formed by folding a unitary blank of thin sheet material. In the preferred embodiment, the electrical box includes an integral mounting bracket. The mounting bracket has a pair of bracket portions extending outwardly from one side wall of the electrical box for coupling the electrical box to a support member. Each of the bracket portions has side mounting section extending from the electrical box for engaging one side of the support member extending perpendicular to the dry wall plaster and a face mounting section extending substantially perpendicularly from the side mounting section for engaging the side of the support member with the dry wall plaster secured thereto. The side mounting section of the mounting bracket is reinforced by folding the sheet material to double its thickness, while the face mounting section has a single thickness to avoid bulging the dry wall plaster. In another embodiment, the mounting bracket is replaced by a pair of fasteners or nails which extend through the electrical box to add rigidity and to prevent unfolding of the box.

    • A plastic ceiling box adapted to support a ceiling fan thereon and adapted to be mounted on a structural member, such as a ceiling joist. The ceiling box comprises a body member having a lower wall and a pair of side walls defining a recess for snugly receiving the ceiling joist therein. Box mounting holes for receiving box mounting fasteners are located at opposite sides and ends of the lower wall for attaching the ceiling box to the joist. Openings for receiving fan supporting fasteners are formed in the body member adjacent the box mounting holes. Brackets at opposite ends of the body member aid in attaching the body member to the joist. This overall arrangement provides sufficient support and strength to resist dynamic loads of a ceiling fan even though the ceiling box is formed of plastic.

    • A connector structure includes a body having a cylindrical recess dimensioned to receive the end of a piece of conduit and a retaining clip to hold the conduit in the recess. The cylindrical recess is provided with an annular recess. The clip comprises a ring with inwardly extending fingers bent out of the plane of the ring, one or more of the fingers having ends thereof bent to form latch tabs. When the conduit is inserted through the clip into the cylindrical recess, the rings are bent against the inner walls of the cylindrical recess so that the tabs enter the annular recess, the intermediate tabe engaging the outer surface of the conduit to hold the assembly together.
