    • A method of identifying abnormal activity within a communication system between one or more vehicles and a wireless carrier system. The method may include receiving a first record from a wireless carrier system or a call center. It may further include automatically receiving a second record from a data logger via a vehicle telematics unit. The second record may be a data upload record and includes information pertaining to a wireless connection that includes an event type (mode) and a call type (mode). The event type may indicate whether the wireless connection was SMS, circuit switched, or packet switched. The call type may indicate a transaction during the wireless connection. The method may include determining the occurrence of an abnormal activity based on the first record and the second record. And the method may also include providing a report.

    • A system and method for communicating between a vehicle and a central facility includes initiating at a vehicle a request for turn-by-turn directions; establishing a packet-switched call between the vehicle and a central facility using a wireless carrier system and a mobile dialed number (MDN) associated with the vehicle; receiving determined route information at the vehicle from the central facility via the packet-switched call; offering a vehicle occupant a service option that uses a circuit-switched call; and if the vehicle occupant accepts the service option, directing the wireless carrier system to establish the circuit-switched call using the MDN while maintaining the packet-switched call in a dormant state.

    • A hydraulic assembly has a first fluid valve and a second fluid valve. A switching valve having a first fluid input and a second fluid input also has a fluid output. The first fluid input is in fluid communication with the first fluid valve while the second fluid input is in fluid communication with the second fluid valve. The switching valve is configured to switch fluid communication to the fluid output between the first fluid input and the second fluid input. A fluid actuator is in fluid communication with the fluid output. A housing for the switching valve is provided. The housing has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a first fluid passage permitting fluid communication between the first fluid valve and the first fluid input and a second fluid passage permitting fluid communication between the second fluid valve and the second fluid input. The first fluid passage has a first opening and the second fluid passage has a second opening. The second portion has a first seal to seal the first opening and a second seal to seal the second opening.
