The server may be operable to receive a request to display one or more frames of web content from the one or more set-top boxes. The server may be operable to receive one or more parameters associated with the one or more frames of the requested web content from the one or more set-top boxes. The server may be operable to dynamically encode at least a portion of one or more frames of the requested web content into one or more color spaces based on the received one or more parameters.

摘要： A video stream demultiplexer receives video streams including a selected current content channel and one or more adjacent content channels. Time stamp management may be concurrently performed on the adjacent content channels while decoding the selected current content channel. Timing information such as Decoding Time Stamp, Presentation Time Stamp values, or random access points may be determined for pictures of the selected current content channel and the adjacent content channels. The determined timing information may be utilized to determine a Program Clock Reference value for the selected current channel and the adjacent channels. A timebase, derived from a PCR rate, may be determined for decoding the selected current content channel. An adjacent content channel, which is primed during decoding of the selected current content channel, may be directly decoded for display if selected.

In a particular embodiment, the photonic waveguide and the photonic crystal resonator comprise a monocrystalline silicon (or other) photonic material absent any chemical functionalization. In another particular embodiment, the photonic waveguide and the photonic crystal resonator comprise a silicon nitride material which when actuating the photonic crystal resonator optical trapping apparatus with a 1064 nanometer resonant photonic radiation wavelength (or other resonant photonic radiation wavelength in a range from about 700 to about 1200 nanometers) provides no appreciable heating of an aqueous sample fluid that is analyzed by the photonic crystal resonator optical trapping apparatus.

摘要： A method for detecting target nucleic acids such as SNPs is provided. The method comprises performing a ligase detection reaction (LDR), performing surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) on the LDR, and analyzing the outcome of the LDR using analysis and/or quantification of the SERS by detecting an emitted Raman signature. The LDR-SERS method can be used for sensitive and specific detection of any nucleic acid sequence of interest. A microfluidic SERS detection device is also provided. The device comprises electrokinetically active microwells for mixing and concentrating analytes and in which analytes can be quantified. The device can be used for performing the LDR-SERS method in optofluidic chip format.

The server may render the pointer based on the predicted pointer location. The server may send the rendered pointer to the STB, wherein the STB may composite a web page on the web browser based on the rendered pointer. The server may be synchronized with the STB based on event information received by the server from the STB such as, for example, keystroke events, click event, or other like event. The prediction of the pointer location may be based on actual pointer location information provided by the STB. A predetermined number of pointer locations may be predicted based on an actual pointer location and/or on a latency of a connection between the server and the STB.

The path of the liquid waveguide can be steered in a region of the apparatus over one of the non-liquid core waveguides such that the light is end-fire- or evanescently-coupled into the non-liquid core waveguide and output therefrom or between two of the non-liquid core waveguides and not coupled or output. Associated optofluidic switching methods are disclosed.

The gateway receives serviced client device display structure instructions from a cloud server. The gateway then receives first streamed content from the cloud server, the first streamed content comprising images of an Internet session hosted by the cloud server and having a video program hole formed therein. The gateway receives second streamed content from the cloud server, the second streamed content comprising a video program corresponding to the video program hole of the first streamed content. Based upon the serviced client device display structure instructions, the gateway combines the first streamed content with the second streamed content to form merged streamed content and transmits the merged streamed content to the serviced client device. The client device may alternately receive and merge the video streams.

摘要： A method is provided for fabricating a nanochannel. The method comprises providing a microchannel and controlling collapse of the microchannel so that it collapses to form a nanochannel of desired dimensions. The method employs a collapsible, flexible material such as the elastomer polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) to form the nanochannel. A master is provided that is configured to have geometric conditions that promote a desired frequency of microchannel collapse. A collapsible material having a stiffness that also promotes a desired frequency of microchannel collapse is molded on the master. The molded collapsible material is removed from the master and bonded to a base, thereby forming the microchannel, which then collapses (or is collapsed) to form the nanochannel of desired dimensions. Nanofluidic and microfluidic devices comprising complex nanochannel structures and micro to nanochannel transitions are also provided.

The determined advertising may be communicated to the STB prior to communicating a plug-in.
