摘要： Described are methyl substituted pinyl oxopentenes and mixtures of same and uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma or taste of consumable materials including foodstuffs, chewing gums, toothpastes, medicinal products, chewing tobaccos, perfume compositions, perfumed articles (including perfumed polymers, solid or liquid cationic, anionic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents, fabric softener compositions, fabric softener articles, optical brightener compositions, and cosmetic powders), colognes, smoking tobacco compositions and smoking tobacco articles including cigars, cigarettes and integrated and separated filters therefor. Also described are processes for preparing such compounds including the steps of reacting alpha and/or beta pinene with carbon monoxide and hydrogen via an oxo reaction in the presence of a catalyst to produce a mixture of aldehydes and then reacting the resulting mixture of aldehydes with methyl ethyl ketone in the presence of a basic catalyst to produce the compounds of our invention.

摘要： A two-cycle crankcase compression direct injected internal combustion engine having a combustion chamber formed by a recess in the cylinder head in which a gap of the spark plug extends. The direct fuel injector sprays into this recess and has a first nozzle port that is directed toward the spark plug gap and at least two other nozzle ports that are directed into the recess but above the head of the piston. This achieves good stratification. The timing of the injection is such at least under low load and low speed conditions that the fuel patch will reach the spark plug at about the time it fires. A staged automatically operated throttle valve system is provided for insuring excess air to aid in the stratification and permit lean burn running.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a container in which a mixture of resins having different melting starting temperatures is used as a heat-sealable layer. The heat-sealable layer is heat-sealed at two or more locations under different conditions so that at least one hermetic heat seal and at least one heat seal having easy-to-peel openability are formed to define plural compartments isolated from one another. The compartments can be filled with different materials. These materials are isolated from one another until immediately before use. Upon application, the heat seal having easy-to-peel openability is broken from the outside to permit mixing of the materials. The container is useful for foods, medical and pharmaceutical substances, and the like.
