摘要： A composite box structure mounted on and attached to a railway car underframe to form a temperature controlled railway car. The composite box structure defined in part by an exterior metal surface, interior side stakes and at least one layer of fiber reinforced material attached to the side stakes. Insulating material may be disposed between the side stakes, the exterior metal surface and the at least one fiber reinforced layer of fiber reinforced material. The insulating materials provide resistance to heat transfer between the interior and the exterior of the composite box structure. A primary floor assembly and a secondary floor assembly may be mounted on the railway car underframe.

摘要： A truss type extruded aluminum section (1) is formed of a pair of planar plates (2)(3) and ribs (4)(5)(6), wherein hollow portions (7)(8)(9) are formed within the section (1) by the ribs (4)(5)(6) and the planar plates (2)(3). Vibration-damping resin is provided on the inner surfaces of hollow portions (7)(8)(9), and particularly on the inner surface of the planar plate (3) and on a single surface of the inclined rib (4). With this arrangement, the vibration energy bending the planar plate (3) and the rib (4) is converted into a heat energy. In the case of manufacturing such truss type extruded aluminum vibration-damping section (1), for making easy the insertion of the vibration-damping resin in the hollow portion, the vibration-damping resin is stuck on a plastic film (11) to form a long planar body. The plastic film (11) serves as a cover or an adhesive. Moreover, in the case of directly inserting the vibration-damping resin sheet (14), the vibration-damping resin sheet (14) is subjected to embossing on the adhesive-bonding side for allowing air to escape. Additionally, in the case using an age-hardening type aluminum alloy, the adhesive-bonding for the vibration-damping resin by heating is performed along with the heat treatment for age-hardening.

摘要： A railway car body structure running at a high speed and a production method thereof. To reduce vibration and noise and to prevent influences of outdoor pressure variations on passengers in the case of a high-speed railway car, the weight of the car body structure must be reduced and its pressure resistance must be improved. Each of the side units, roof unit and end unit and floor plates of an underframe of the car body structure includes plate members obtained by joining two surface materials, a core material and binding materials through metal-to-metal bonding. The sheet thickness of the surface material on an outdoor side is greater than a sheet thickness of the surface material on an indoor side. The plate members are constructed as a block, and a plurality of blocks are joined so as to form the side units, roof unit or the floor plates of the underframe.

Furthermore, the trailer includes a support structure (34) for supporting the floor (28) and the sidewalls (22, 24, 30), and the top wall (26). The arched floor (28) causes articles or pallets (48) loaded onto the trailer to tip outwardly toward the sidewalls (22) of the trailer (20) such that the top of the pallets ( 48) are spaced further apart.The present invention further relates to a method for loading the trailer (20) wherein two rows (100, 102) of the pallets (48) are formed in the trailer (20) along the longitudinal extent thereof. The rows (100, 102) extend substantially across the entire width of the trailer (20) such that maximum floor space is utilized.

Such cars must provide long service lives even under these very rough conditions, and they should allow simple loading and unloading via a rotating/tilting device. In accordance with the instant disclosure, the high strength of the gondola car body is maintained in a simple manner in that the flooring sheets of the body are set into grooves in the longitudinal center sill, and into a groove in each inside of the lower side sills, and then welded to the said sills. Also the walls of the car may be set in different ways, as by setting them into a groove in the upper side of the lower side sills and into a groove in the lower side of the upper side sill, and then welded to the said side sills.

摘要： A plurality of modular units formed of ducts and horizontal load-supporting webs each form part of a ventilating floor structure with the ducts and webs being interconnected to adjacent modular units for forming a total floor. The ducts have upwardly diverging sidewalls for strength and a duct of one modular unit is provided with a bead that forms half of a joint to be slid within a downwardly opening recess forming the other half of the joint on an adjacent web. The recess is provided with a downwardly and laterally curving guide flange so that the bead can be rolled into the recess as the modular unit having the bead is rotated into position. The interconnected ducts and webs are underlayed with foam insulation which is carried up into each web for additional insulating thickness the joint is essentially waterproof from water passing into or through the ducts.
