摘要： The invention provides a method of applying a mutilayer coating film, in which two or more layers of coating are applied to a flat plate, such as steel plate; and a product with multilayer coating film obtained by the method. The method includes discharging paint films through multiple slits, simultaneously applying these films to a traveling plate to thereby form a multilayer paint film and carrying out drying or baking thereof, characterized in that the boiling point of the solvent contained in the layer close to the plate is equivalent to or lower than the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer remote from the plate, and that the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer closest to the plate is lower than the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer remotest from the plate.

摘要： A method for operating a machine for single or double sided application of a liquid or viscous coating medium by way of at least one applicator unit onto the surface of a mating material web, especially a paper or cardboard web is provided. The coating medium collecting unit is cleaned prior to, during or after an application process of the machine, by way of supplying cleaning liquid via the supply line. The valve arrangement can be switched to the second valve condition for clean-up and to the third valve condition for the collection of coating medium in the medium collecting device. The medium collecting unit can be cleaned after start of the application process, during coating, through elements of supplying cleaning liquid via the supply line.

The thickness of the lateral center part is fixed. The thickness of the lateral end part changes linearly from opposite lateral ends of the lateral center part to the opposite lateral ends of the slit. Coating material is discharged from the slit while applied with pressure, so that the coating material is coated while expanded wider than the width of the slit. The coating material is discharged at 7 liter per minute, and a coating width of a first example is 100 mm, for example. A thickness increase of the overlapped part is +25% even when a width or an overlapped margin z of the overlapped part is 10 mm or 20 mm.

摘要： In a method and an apparatus for curtain coating of a moved substrate like a paper web substrate is moved below a liquid supply means providing a single or multilayer liquid coating in the form of a free-falling curtain impinging the substrate at a dynamic wetting line and a blade or air shield located upstream of the dynamic wetting line with respect to the moving direction of the substrate. The dynamic wetting line of the coating curtain on the substrate or web is oriented generally perpendicular to the moving direction of the substrate or web, providing substantially the same air pressure over an essential part of the coating curtain on its front and back side with respect to the moving direction of the substrate and providing a first supply air flow upstream to the wetting line. The supply air flows over a substantial length along the free-falling curtain and evacuates air from a location upstream of the supply air flow so that the air near the dynamic wetting line is moved against the moving direction of the substrate web and the boundary air layer entrained to the substrate. A second supply air is provided in proximity to the wetting line.
