摘要： Geocell structures stabilize water body shorelines and beds, slopes and retaining wall bridge abutments in such areas of construction as the oil and gas, transport and hydraulic engineering industries, amongst others. A blank for producing a weld-free geocell is made from a polymer sheet material having incisions therein in the form of segments of parallel lines. Adjacent incisions in the same row have a distance S between the ends thereof and the relationship S/L=K1, where K1 is from 0.1 to 0.5. The incisions of adjacent rows are at a distance D from each other and have the relationship D/L=K2, where K2 is from 0.1 to 0.7. At the ends of the incisions, there are openings which are oval or circular in shape. A weld-free geocell includes at least one blank stretched in a direction perpendicular to the lines of the incisions to form a three-dimensional cellular structure.

摘要： A honeycomb filter includes a plurality of cells, porous cell walls, and an oxidation catalyst. The plurality of cells include exhaust gas introduction cells and exhaust gas emission cells. The oxidation catalyst is supported inside the porous cell walls in an amount of 5 to 60 g/L. The exhaust gas emission cells have an average cross sectional area larger than an average cross sectional area of the exhaust gas introduction cells in the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. A total volume of the exhaust gas introduction cells is larger than a total volume of the exhaust gas emission cells.

摘要： A honeycomb structural body has cells surrounded by cell walls arranged in a lattice-like shape. A cross section is divided into a central section and an outer peripheral section. The outer peripheral section surrounds the central section through a boundary partition wall. The outer peripheral section is lower in a cell density than the central section. The cells contain imperfectly shaped cells in contact directly with the boundary partition wall. In the imperfectly shaped cells, first specific imperfectly shaped cells are smaller in opening area than second specific imperfectly shaped cells. Each first specific imperfectly shaped cells has an opening area of not more than a predetermined area S=(P−T)2/8. P and T indicate a cell pitch and a thickness of each cell wall, respectively. The opening section of the first specific imperfectly shaped cells is closed by the same raw material of the cell walls.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a plurality of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) light modulators formed from a structural material coupled to the first substrate and a second substrate separated from the first substrate. A plurality of spacers extend from the first substrate to keep the second substrate a minimum distance away from the plurality of light modulators. The spacers include a first polymer layer having a surface in contact with the first substrate, a second polymer layer encapsulating the first polymer layer and a layer of the structural material encapsulating the second polymer layer. The spacers can be used as fluid barriers and configured to surround more than one but less than all of the MEMS light modulators in the display apparatus.
