    • A metal laminate gasket of the invention is formed of first and second metal plates and an annular plate. The first metal plate has a base portion, a curved portion extending from the base portion to define a first opening corresponding to a hole of the engine to be sealed, and a flange extending from the curved portion and situated over the base portion. The annular plate is situated between the flange and the base portion and has the width at least partly shorter than that of the flange. The second metal plate is situated over the first metal plate at a side where the flange is located. The second metal plate has a second opening at least partly smaller than an outer diameter of the flange, and an edge portion around the second opening. The edge portion of the second plate is at least partly retained between the flange and the base portion. Thus, the first and second metal plates are assembled together with the annular plate.

    • A steel laminate gasket is situated between two engine blocks, wherein one of the engine blocks has at least two positioning members for setting a location of the gasket. The gasket comprises at least one first plate having at least two first holes, and a second plate situated adjacent to the first plate and having at least two second holes. The diameter of the first hole is larger than that of the positioning member of the engine block, while the diameter of the second hole is essentially the same as that of the positioning member. The distance between the second holes is essentially the same as that between the two positioning holes. The second holes communicate with the first holes respectively so that the position of the gasket relative to the engine blocks can be determined exactly by the second holes engaging the positioning members of the engine block.

    • An apparatus and a method for freezing foods includes a first conveyor having one end thereof located on the feed portion and that conveys the articles to be frozen in a first direction and a second conveyor extending directly beneath the first conveyor along thereof and conveying foods fallen from the other end of the first conveyor in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The apparatus further includes a coolant tank disposed beneath the second conveyor and storing coolant that freezes foods fallen from the second conveyor, a third conveyor having at least one portion thereof submerged in the coolant in the coolant tank and conveying the foods fallen from the second conveyor while immersing them in the coolant, and a coolant spraying means disposed above the first conveyor and spraying coolant toward the first conveyor.
