    • A multiple-function valve cap is disclosed for mounting on a valve stem of a tire for indicating a safe pressure condition or a low pressure warning. The multiple-function valve cap includes a pressure indicator assembly having a piston including a safe pressure indicator, and an internal bore. A warning indicator is seated within the internal bore of the piston. A biasing spring is fitted between the low pressure warning indicator and the safe pressure indicator, and acts to urge them apart, such that the warning indicator is displayed when low pressure is applied to the piston. When a safe level of air pressure is applied to the piston, the piston is moved against the force of the biasing spring to surround the warning indicator, and the safe pressure indicator is displayed.

    • To identify participants in collusion directed to altering a digital fingerprint embedded in multimedia content, an ECC based fingerprinting technique establishes a code symbol for each of a plurality of segments of digital data forming the multimedia content. The code symbols are concatenated to form a fingerprint signal, which is subdivided into a plurality of subsegments for each segment in the digital data. The subsegments are permuted and embedded into the digital data. When a suspicious copy of the multimedia content is discovered, the permuted fingerprint signal is extracted from the content and inversely permuted to form a test fingerprint. The identity of one of the colluders is determined by correlation with characteristics of the codeword originally assigned to the user. The determination of identity may be enhanced by the addition of group data embedded as an additional fingerprint in the digital data. Joint consideration of coding and embedding provide benefits over previous fingerprinting techniques.

    • The digital air pressure gauge includes an error correction lookup table database stored within a memory device within the gauge. The database includes reference air pressure values and associated measured air pressure values, where the reference air pressure values and associated measured air pressure values are determined at identical discrete time intervals as pressurized air is input into the gauge. A transducer generates an electrical signal representative of air pressure within a device such as a pneumatic tire. A microprocessor compares the electrical signal with measured air pressure values within the database and determines a closest measured air pressure value. The microprocessor then determines the associated reference air pressure value of the closest measured air pressure value. The reference air pressure value is then displayed as the accurate pressure of the pressurized air within the device. The gauge may be disposed within a tire valve cap with an RF transmitter.

    • A turbocharger system for an internal combustion engine is provided with at least one rotatable shaft and a multi-stage compressor. The multi-stage compressor includes a first compressor wheel carried by a corresponding shaft, an axially extending first inlet associated with the first compressor wheel, a radially extending first outlet associated with the first compressor wheel, a second compressor wheel carried by a corresponding shaft, an axially extending second inlet associated with the second compressor wheel, and a radially extending second outlet associated with the second compressor wheel. An interstage duct fluidly interconnects in series the first outlet associated with the first compressor wheel with the second inlet associated with the second compressor wheel. At least one bypass duct is provided, with each bypass duct fluidly interconnecting the first outlet with the first inlet; the first outlet with an ambient environment; and/or the second outlet with the first outlet. At least one valve is provided, each valve being positioned within a corresponding bypass duct. A controller is coupled with each valve and selectively actuates each valve.

    • An engine assembly includes a plenum member having an inlet opening and an outlet opening defined therein. The engine assembly further includes an air source in fluid communication with the inlet opening. The engine assembly still further includes a fuel combustion assembly having an engine block having a piston cylinder defined therein, an engine head secured to the engine block and having an intake port defined therein, and a piston which translates within the piston cylinder. The piston, the piston cylinder, and the engine head cooperate so as to define a combustion chamber. The engine assembly further includes a gaseous fuel supply valve which controls the amount of gaseous fuel advanced from a gaseous fuel source to the first intake conduit. The engine assembly still further includes an intake conduit interposed between the outlet opening and the intake port. The engine assembly still further includes a port oil injector operable to inject lubricating oil through an oil opening in the intake conduit and an intake valve positionable between an open position and a closed position. The lubricating oil lubricates the intake valve as the lubricating oil advances from the intake conduit to the combustion chamber during an intake stroke of the engine assembly, and combusts so as to ignite the mixture of natural gas and air in the combustion chamber during a compression stroke of the engine assembly. A method of operating the engine assembly is also disclosed.

    • Described is a preferred rotary spray chamber device for conditioning an aerosol. The device has chamber walls defining an internal chamber and an inlet opening into the internal chamber. The inlet opening is located such that an aerosol directed into the chamber through the inlet opening tangentially contacts chamber wall areas adapted to impart a rotary motion to the aerosol within the chamber. An impact member extends inwardly into the chamber from a chamber wall location such that the member is impacted by the aerosol in its rotary motion so as to remove large droplets and thus form a conditioned aerosol. An exit opening is defined by the chamber walls through which the conditioned aerosol can exit the chamber, and a drain opening is also defined by the chamber walls through which liquid removed from the aerosol and collected in the chamber can exit the chamber.
