    • A rubber plug for a water-proof connector has an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. The rubber plug into which an electrical wire inserted and which is inserted into a cylindrical structure of the water-proof connector sealingly closes the gap between the electrical wire and the cylindrical structure. The inner cylinder is provided at a portion which is positioned near the opening of the cylindrical structure of the water-proof connector, for sealingly closing a gap between the electrical cylinder and the inner cylinder. The outer cylinder has an annular groove, and is provided outside the inner cylinder at the portion in such a manner that the outer cylinder surrounds said inner cylinder through the annular groove for closing a gap between the inner cylindrical surface of the cylindrical structure and the outer cylinder.

    • A connector includes a retainer for retaining metal terminals within a housing. The retainer includes provisional retaining projections and complete retaining projections. The retainer can be held on a housing in three depth positions. Namely, in the first insertion position (free position) of the retainer, the metal terminal is allowed to be inserted and withdrawn. In the second insertion position (provisional retained position), the provisional retaining portion engages the stabilizers to prevent the withdrawal of the metal terminal but allows the insertion of the metal terminal. In the third insertion position (complete retained position), the complete retaining projection is projected into and engaged in a retaining hole in the metal terminal, thereby preventing the withdrawal and insertion of the metal terminal.

    • An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine has a first housing, a second housing, a holder, an insulating resin and a crack extension restrictor. The first housing encloses a center core, a primary coil and a secondary coil. The second housing has an install portion and a cylinder-shaped fitting portion fitted to a top cylindrical portion of the first housing. The holder is laid over top ends of the primary and secondary coils. The insulating resin is charged in an annular cavity defined at least by uppermost portions of the primary and secondary coils, the fitting portion and the holder and in contact with the fitting portion. The crack extension restrictor is formed by a part of the fitting portion and a part of the holder and disposed above the fitting faces of the fitting portion and the top end portion.

    • A method is provided for connecting a terminal fitting and a flat conductor to achieve a high contact pressure between the terminal fitting and a conductive path. A FFC (10) has an insulation sheet (12) adjacent the end stripped to expose a conductor (11). The FFC (10) is inserted between first and second squeezing plates (22, 23) of a terminal fitting (20). Complimentary recessed/projected portions (32, 33) are formed on the outer surfaces of a pair of upper and lower press dies (30, 31) for pressing the terminal fitting (20). The terminal fitting (20) is pressed by the press dies (30, 31). Thus, the FFC 10 and the terminal fitting (20) are pressed together into a single unit and the squeezing plates (22, 23) are formed into a zigzag configuration.

    • A terminal is provided for stable mounting at a predetermined position of the leading end of a coaxial cable. The terminal 1 has rear side formed with a barrel 7 to be crimped into connection with the coaxial cable 2. A cover 11 is integrally provided before the barrel 7 for covering an exposed section of a core 3 of the coaxial cable 2. An embossed positioning portion 12 is formed between the barrel 7 and the cover 11. When the terminal 1 is mounted on a stripped end of the cable 2, the front end of a folded section 5A contacts a locking edge 12C of the positioning portion 12, thereby restricting any further insertion of the coaxial cable 2. Thus, the terminal 1 can be automatically positioned on the coaxial cable 2 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the coaxial cable 2.

    • A connector including an inner housing member for housing terminal fittings and an outer member for receiving the inner housing member. The inner housing member comprises upper and lower inner members. After terminal fittings have been attached to the upper and lower inner members, these inner members are joined to one another to form the inner housing member.     • An inner terminal 11 is accommodated in an accommodating portion 20 of an outer terminal 12 via a dielectric element 13.
