    • An EGR transfer assembly includes a tubular conduit having a first end in communication with a source of exhaust gas and a second end located in an oversized opening in the engine intake manifold. A seal carrier configured as a cylindrical sleeve having a flanged portion at one end, is received over the second end of the conduit such that the cylindrical portion is inserted into the opening in circumjacent relationship to the conduit to define an insulating space therebetween. The flanged portion of the carrier limits the entry of the cylindrical sleeve into the manifold by seating against the manifold. Seals are disposed between the sleeve and the conduit and between the flange and the manifold to limit the leakage of air through the manifold opening. A spring member is seated between the seal carrier and a stop member and acts to seat the flanged portion against the manifold. Forces exerted on the carrier from air pressure within the manifold may exceed the closing force exerted by the spring member causing the seal carrier to move from its sealed, seated position against the manifold to vent pressure from within the manifold through the opening.

    • A rotate mechanism includes a fixed frame unit, a rotating frame unit, a first bearing, and a prime mover. The rotating frame unit is rotatably coupled to the fixed frame unit and rotates about an axis. The rotating frame unit includes a first surface for receiving a machine tool element to be rotated. The first bearing is configured to exert an axially outward force on the rotating frame unit. The first bearing rotates about an axis that extends in substantially perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the rotating frame unit. The first bearing is axially movable within a cavity of at least one of the rotating frame unit and the fixed frame unit. The prime mover is coupled to the rotating frame unit to effectuate rotational movement thereof.

    • A closure for a liquid container, such as a sports drink bottle, includes a base component that is engaged over the mouth of the container, and a cap component engaged on the base component for movement from a closed position to an open position by pressure from the lips of the consumer. The base component includes a valve element supported on a fenestrated pedestal. The cap component includes a body defining a drinking surface for contacting the lips of the consumer and an annular sealing disc recessed below the drinking surface. The sealing disc is retained by the valve element against the force of a resiliently deformable seal disposed between the base component and the cap component. The seal has a sealing rim that is in constant contact with the base portion and provides an upward spring force to hold the sealing disc in the normally closed position. The seal includes a flexible hinge that allows the resiliently deformable seal to bow outward or bellows when the cap is depressed.
