    • The present invention provides a method of stimulating dendritic cells, comprising contacting the dendritic cells with methionine enkephalin. The present invention also provides methods of enhancing an immune response to an antigen in a mammal. In a first method, dendritic cells are isolated from the mammal. The dendritic cells are then contacted with methionine enkephalin for a time sufficient to stimulate the cells. Next, the stimulated dendritic cells are contacted with the antigen of interest for a time sufficient for the cells to process the antigen. The dendritic cells are then injected into the mammal. The dendritic cells may be injected into the animal either on their own, or along with methionine enkephalin and/or the antigen. In a second method, the antigen of interest and methionine enkephalin are administered to the mammal. The present invention also provides compositions for administration to a mammalian subject having a tumor.

    • A directional microstrip antenna includes a driven patch surrounded by an isolated reflector and one or more coplanar directors, all separated from a groundplane on the order of 0.1 wavelength or less to provide endfire beam directivity without requiring power dividers or phase shifters. The antenna may be driven at a feed point a distance from the center of the driven patch in accordance with conventional microstrip antenna design practices for H-plane coupled or horizontally polarized signals. The feed point for E-plane coupled or vertically polarized signals is at a greater distance from the center than the first distance. This feed point is also used for one of the feed signals for circularly polarized signals. The phase shift between signals applied to feed points for circularly polarized signals must be greater than the conventionally required 90.degree. and depends upon the antenna configuration.

    • Systems and methods for synchronizing verification data in a distributed database including client and server databases. The server database may exchange verification data regarding one-time passwords to multiple client databases. An update to the server database may be initiated based on information stored in the client database by pushing updated verification information from the client database to the server database via an SSL tunnel. An update to the client database may be initiated based on information stored in the server database by pulling updated verification data from the server database to the client database via an SSL tunnel. The client database and the server database may include a two-dimensional data field including the verification data and an associated key identifier, and a site ID. The site ID may include a unique identifier to identify the respective database in which it is included. The data field may include a sequence number assigned to each row of data that increases every time the row of information is updated. The client database and the server database may also include a replication tracking table including a record of the last known update to a remote database. Data fields that require updating may be determined based on the site ID and a comparison of the sequence numbers from the replication tracking table and the server's database.

The inboard section has half the number of patch elements of the outboard section, and the outboard sections, which have tapered distribution with identical transmission line sections, terminated with half wavelength long open-circuit stubs so that the remaining energy is reflected and radiated in phase. The elements of the two inboard segments of the two left- and right-half sections are provided with tapered transmission lines from element to element for uniform power distribution over the central third of the entire array antenna. The two rows of array elements are excited at opposite patch feed locations with opposite (180.degree. difference) phases for reduced cross-polarization.
