摘要： In shaft drilling apparatus for recovery of gas from subterranean formations includes a platform adapted for being suspended by a cable and rotated within a generally vertical shaft in the earth. Drilling and stabilizing apparatus are provided and disposed on the platform for drilling boreholes into the subterranean seams containing gas and rigidly supporting the platform within the generally vertical shaft during the drilling of the boreholes. A liquid-solids-gas separator is provided which is disposed on the platform and in an operative relationship with the drilling apparatus for separating solid cuttings and gas from the drilling efflux. Apparatus for enabling fresh air to be circulated to and from the platform is provided and includes a curtain wall disposed along the diameter of the generally vertical shaft. The platform is disposed on one side of the curtain wall during circulation of air to and from the platform.

摘要： Method and apparatus are disclosed for the recovery and removal of natural gas from a mine by liquefying and collecting the gas within the mine, and then transporting the liquified gas to the surface in a mobile tank. Natural gas is withdrawn from bore holes in a coal mine and liquefied using liquid nitrogen. A unique apparatus permits both the liquid nitrogen and the liquefied natural gas to be contained within a same insulated tank, enhancing the portable characteristics. Liquid nitrogen and its vapor are used to cool the natural gas so as to separate water and CO.sub.2. Means are disclosed for controlling the cooling by the cryogenic liquid by regulating the venting flow rate of its vapor in response to the pressure of the liquefied natural gas. The disclosed system eliminates the need for extensive piping and on-site pumping associated with conventional degasification processes.

摘要： Gas flow from a coal seam to a mine face in the seam is blocked by drilling a hole from the face into the seam in a direction generally parallel to the direction of the flow of the gas to be blocked; forming a notch at the interior end of the hole; injecting a fluid into the hole and notch under a pressure sufficient to hydraulically fracture the seam along a plane extending substantially perpendicular to the hole and to the direction of gas flow; and filling such fracture with a barrier-forming fluid. The hole is then plugged to prevent retrograde flow of the fluid to the mine face.

摘要： A permeability enhancement method for coalbed methane wells by using electric pulse detonation fracturing technology is applicable to exploitation of coalbed methane wells in coal beds with low permeability. Firstly, a positive electrode coalbed methane wellbore and a negative electrode coalbed methane wellbore are constructed from the ground surface to a coal bed. A fixed platform installed with a positive electrode and a high-voltage pulse device are placed, by using a derrick, downwards to a predetermined permeability enhancement portion of the coal bed in the positive electrode coalbed methane wellbore, and another fixed platform installed with a negative electrode is placed, by using a derrick, downwards to a predetermined permeability enhancement portion of the coal bed in the negative electrode coalbed methane wellbore. The coal bed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode is broken down by using a high voltage, and coalbed methane extraction is carried out in the positive electrode coalbed methane wellbore and the negative electrode coalbed methane wellbore. A large amount of energy produced by high-voltage electric pulse directly acts on the coal reservoir to form a plasma channel in the coal bed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The large amount of energy instantly passes through the plasma channel, and the produced high-temperature thermal expansion force and shock waves act on the coal bed, such that the number of cracks in the coal bed is effectively increased and a favorable condition is created for flowing of coalbed methane.

摘要： A multi-stage combustion impact wave coal mass cracking and heat injection alternating intensified gas extracting method is provided. A large amount of N2 or CO2 is injected into a drill hole by a heat injection and gas injection extracting pipe and by a high-pressure gas cylinder and a reducing valve, then a certain amount of methane and dry air are injected into a high-temperature and high-pressure combustion chamber by the high-pressure gas cylinder and the reducing valve, to be mixed and combusted to form high-temperature and high-pressure impact wave. High-temperature vapour is injected into the drill holes by the heat injection and gas injection extracting pipe to promote desorption of the coal masses.
