摘要： To allow removal or replacement of mining equipment from a tunnel without unduly limiting the size of the mining equipment or without an unduly excessive cross-section of the tunnel, the mobile unit includes a conveying system having a first and a second transfer area, and a dust extraction system. The conveying system receives mined material in the first transfer area, conveys the received mined material to the second transfer area and dispenses the received and conveyed mined material at the second transfer area. The dust extraction system receives dust-laden air, extracts dust from the dust-laden air and discharges air from which dust is extracted. The mobile unit includes a first and/or a second dust collector for collecting dust-laden air from the first and/or second transfer area, respectively, with the first and/or second dust collector being arranged to supply the collected dust-laden air to the dust extraction system for dust extraction.

摘要： A spray system for dust control on a shearer machine that operates laterally with respect to a mining floor surface is provided where the spray system is provided with a set of first ranging arm sprays mounted on a first ranging arm and wherein said first ranging arm is located on a first end of a shearer machine chassis. A set of second ranging arm sprays is optionally provided and is mounted on the upper side of the first ranging arm and resides approximate to and in operational relationship to the set of first ranging arm sprays. Furthermore, a plurality of chassis spray sets may also be optionally provided and are located on a mining side of said shearer machine chassis and reside in a non-linear format. Moreover, a set of shearer-clearer venturi arm sprays may also optionally be provided and is mounted on a shearer-clearer venturi arm that resides as an angular extension of the set of first shearer-clearer arm sprays.

The manifold provides communication between the nozzles and a manifold inlet, the manifold inlet being adapted to connect to a supply of water. The manifold with one half of a quick connect coupling cooperates with a nozzle block having a bore sized to receive at least a portion of the manifold and the other half of the quick connect coupling. The use of quick connect coupling half with the block allows easy removal and insertion of the manifold.

To increase the operating reliability of the water system and thus of the powered support assembly, the control valves for the spray systems are accommodated in a spray valve block which is provided with a connection for the water line and can be arranged on the powered support assembly as a unit separated from a hydraulic valve block.

摘要： An air diversion and dust control system for primary use on longwall shearer mining machinery, consisting of directional fluid sprays and passive curtain barriers. The air moving characteristics of fluid sprays are combined with the splitting and blocking characteristics of passive curtain barriers in order to produce an air stream splitting and diversion system which acts to keep dust away from the breathing zone of the machine operator and contained in the area of the coal face until beyond the mining machine. The fluid sprays have a double function in that they both divert and suppress the dust generated during the cutting operation.
