摘要： An antenna system is provided for hearing instruments to be worn in the auditory canal. A hearing instrument has a data transmission system improved in respect of transmission bandwidth with no increase or only an insignificant increase in space and energy requirement. The antenna system has an antenna with a preferred send and receive spatial direction, and a hearing instrument component which emits noise radiation predominantly in a noise radiation spatial direction. The antenna and the hearing instrument component are disposed so that the send and receive spatial direction and the noise radiation spatial direction are oriented transverse to one another such that a coupling-in of noise radiation into the antenna is reduced. The reduction of the noise couplings into the antenna make possible a higher send and receive bandwidth, with the installation volume and energy requirement remaining the same. The hearing instrument component is a receiver.

摘要： A method for synchronizing the reproduction of a digital signal sent by a transmitter to a plurality of mobile audio terminals. The transmitter sends the digital signal as a multiplicity of data packets at a data rate that is constant as an average over time. A signal receiver of each mobile audio terminal receives at least a subset of the multiplicity of data packets and generates a time reference signal. A FIFO signal with information on an occupancy level of a FIFO memory of the mobile audio terminal at specific time points is generated, an instantaneous reproduction speed is set on the basis of the time reference signal and the FIFO signal, the audio reproduction unit reproduces at the instantaneous reproduction speed samples corresponding to the digital signal. The occupancy level of the FIFO memory is thereby kept constant as an average over time.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus, system, and method to continuously authenticate a user of a mobile device. The mobile device includes a user interface, a transceiver, a microphone, and processor. The processor continuously samples a user's voice from the microphone during a call by obtaining voice snippets on a pre-defined periodic basis or on a random basis. The processor further compares the sampled voice from the microphone to a stored voice to authenticate a valid user, wherein if the sampled voice matches the stored voice for a valid user, functionality of the mobile device continues. On the other hand, if the sampled voice does not match the stored voice for a valid user, functionality of the mobile device is locked.

In the first mode of operation, a hearing prosthesis receives a microphone input and produces an output based on the microphone input. In the second mode of operation, the hearing prosthesis may detect an accessory input signal and switch to an accessory input mode. The second mode of operation may produce an output that is based at least in part on the accessory input signal. Some embodiments may include detecting an accessory input signal with a detector. In response to detecting an accessory input signal, the hearing prosthesis may switch to an accessory operation mode. When the accessory input signal is not detected, the hearing prosthesis may operate in microphone operation mode.

摘要： A sound processor assembly having a coil support device which allows for the coil to be moved without damaging the plastic components or deforming the shell body. This is done by making the ear shell of the sound processor assembly, whether an integrated sound processor assembly or a linked sound processor assembly, out of two separate polymers: a first polymer that does not soften when heat is applied, and a second polymer which does. The first polymer is used for the first polymer zone of the shell which is shaped to the ear canal, while the second polymer is used for the section of the shell which supports the coil. This allows the shell to be heated, thereby softening the second polymer but not the first, and allows the coil to be repositioned to a new location.
