摘要： A vehicular headlight having an inner lens and a hood, which is painted to block light, integrally made of a light-transmissible resin so that no opening is formed between the inner lens and the hood. As a result, no light can leak through such an opening, and the adjustment gap between the inner lens and reflector cannot be seen through the opening. Since the inner lens and the hood are constituted by a single component, the number of components of the headlight is reduced to decrease the number of steps of assembly thereof.

摘要： The present invention relates to an automotive headlamp construction in which chromatic aberation is substantially eliminated. The headlamp includes an elliptic reflector, a light source disposed at a first focal point of the elliptic reflector, a condenser lens which is focused generally at a second focal point of the elliptic reflector, and an outer lens provided in front of the condenser lens. In accordance with the invention, the radius of curvature of the outer lens is reduced at a vertically middle portion thereof to form an angled portion through which light from the light source passes. The angled portion acts as a lens having a focal length such that chromatic aberration of the condenser lens is canceled out.

Therefore, the shape and area of the projection lens can be changed without losing the characteristics of the projector type lamp, while there are problems for the prior projector type lamp of lacking visibility of the projector type lamp from a vehicle running in an opposite direction and a passenger and design freedom, the front shape of the projection lens to be selected being only relatively small circles.

摘要： A motor vehicle headlamp having an improved mounting structure of an extension reflector provided between the front lens and the reflector of the headlamp. An extension reflector, formed separate from the lamp body, is provided between the reflector and the front lens. The front end of the extension reflector is held adajcent to or in contact with the inner surface of the front lens to minimize the gap between the extension reflector and the front lens, and the rear end of the extension reflector is spaced from the reflector so that the extension reflector cannot interfere with the opening end portion of the reflector during the aiming operation of the reflector. The headlamp may be combined with other lamps in such a manner that the other lamps are arranged on both sides of the headlamp inside a single lamp body with the headlamp and other lamps juxtaposed with one another, and light shielding walls are provided for the lamps on both sides of the headlamp to cover the gaps between the reflector and the extension reflector.
