    • A vehicle headlamp apparatus is provided. The vehicle headlamp apparatus includes a lamp unit, a first additional lamp unit which forms a first light distribution pattern, a second additional lamp unit which forms a second light distribution pattern overlapping with the first light distribution pattern, and a controller. The first light distribution pattern includes at least one first partial region, and the first additional lamp unit adjusts a luminous intensity of a light to be irradiated toward the first partial region. The second light distribution pattern includes at least one second partial region which partially overlaps with the first partial region, and the second additional lamp unit adjusts a luminous intensity of a light to be irradiated toward the second partial region. The controller controls the first additional lamp unit and the second additional lamp unit to adjust the luminous intensity of the partial regions.

    • A projector type lamp of the present invention has a projection lens and a reflector, wherein the projection lens comprises a cylindrical lens portion which forms a center portion of the projection lens and whose vertical cross section has a curve when the projector type lamp is installed and aspherical lens portions which are halves of an aspherical lens and formed continuous to the respective right and left end portions of the cylindrical lens portion. The reflector is divided into four parts located in upper and lower sides and right and left sides thereof; an upper reflection surface, a lower reflection surface, a right reflection surface, and a left reflection surface, the four reflection surfaces being formed as curved surfaces on the basis of oval surfaces and combined together. Therefore, the shape and area of the projection lens can be changed without losing the characteristics of the projector type lamp, while there are problems for the prior projector type lamp of lacking visibility of the projector type lamp from a vehicle running in an opposite direction and a passenger and design freedom, the front shape of the projection lens to be selected being only relatively small circles.

    • A motor vehicle headlamp having an improved mounting structure of an extension reflector provided between the front lens and the reflector of the headlamp. An extension reflector, formed separate from the lamp body, is provided between the reflector and the front lens. The front end of the extension reflector is held adajcent to or in contact with the inner surface of the front lens to minimize the gap between the extension reflector and the front lens, and the rear end of the extension reflector is spaced from the reflector so that the extension reflector cannot interfere with the opening end portion of the reflector during the aiming operation of the reflector. The headlamp may be combined with other lamps in such a manner that the other lamps are arranged on both sides of the headlamp inside a single lamp body with the headlamp and other lamps juxtaposed with one another, and light shielding walls are provided for the lamps on both sides of the headlamp to cover the gaps between the reflector and the extension reflector.
