    • A single-service package coupling and valve includes a fitment having a spout and a sliding tubular valve member mounted therein for receiving a cooperating dispensing connector of a liquid distributing and dispensing system, and an external adapter ring designed to cooperate with the mounting mechanisms of a plurality of conventional commercially available dispensing connectors. An internal adapter sleeve is mounted with in the sliding tubular valve member to provide a tight seal with any of the conventional dispensing connectors. The external adapter ring is provided with a pair of radially extending flanges adapted to accept and position different dispensing connectors. At least one of the radially extending flanges is provided with at lest two wings to engage a threaded mounting collar of a service line connector.

    • An aircraft fueling nozzle has a body with a bearing sleeve mounted within the body. The nozzle has a poppet having a stem which is guided by the bearing sleeve. A seat is mounted in the nozzle body for forming a seal with the poppet head. The seat is retained in the body by a resilient lip which encompasses the seat projecting outward and interacts with an inwardly projecting lip on the body. The nozzle has a linkage for moving the poppet including an actuator located upstream of the bearing sleeve which is connected to an arm which overarches the bearing sleeve and is connected to the poppet. The actuator includes a crank which is connected to the arm and an actuator shaft which connects to the crank by interfitting splines. The nozzle further includes a swivel for rotatably coupling the nozzle body to a fuel supply. The swivel includes a replaceable annular bearing ring. The nozzle includes recesses for receiving the lugs of an aircraft fueling flange to secure the flange to the nozzle.

    • An underwater fluid connector for interconnecting a plurality of fluid lines. A first male member or plurality of members are adapted to be positioned underwater including at least one upright position flat side with a plurality of fluid passageways terminating at said side. An inverted U-shaped retrievable female member having first and second flat interior faces and adapted to engage and disengage from the first member wherein the faces are positioned for alignment with but spaced from the first member flat side when engaged for providing a venting space therebetween and having a plurality of passageways terminating at the interior faces for axial alignment with the first member passageways. A metal valve seat is releasably connected to the first member flat sides about each of the first member passageways. A valve is positioned in each of the second member passageways having a movable element, a hydraulic supply port, and a pilot actuator connected to the valve element. In one position the valve element seats on the valve seat and opens the fluid supply port and in a second position closes the fluid supply port and is removed from the valve seat. A resilient seal is connected to the valve element and adapted to seat on the metal valve seat. The seat and seal are circular and the seat includes a circular lip having a width less than the resilient seal for providing higher unit sealing forces.

    • A snap-on, easily removable, fluid shut off valve (with pipe and interlocking member) that is useful as a low cost, primary turn off valve for domestic and commercial fluid fixtures and is quickly installed by manual snap-on between the inlet fluid supply and the supply pipe to conventional fixtures such as faucets or the like. The valve comprises a rigid housing having an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, and a cross-over passage separating the first and second chambers that houses a moveable ball or poppet valve member that is held in the cross-over chamber by a spring retainer. A mechanical plunger or cam device (operable from the exterior of the housing) is disposed within the outlet chamber for contacting and pushing the ball or poppet valve member against the spring retainer, away from the valve seat, to open the valve. The first and second chamber openings receive spiral-shaped spring pipe end retaining members, each having an inside diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the inserted pipe mounted between level bushings. Each spiral-shaped retaining member has radial segments that deform in the direction of the pipe inserted that interlocks the pipe end in each chamber. Cooperating fluid seals prevent leakage.
