摘要： An outlet piece assembly for a horizontal plate and frame-type filter, such as tower press. The disclosure is based on the idea of providing the outlet piece assembly as having a base removably attachable to a filter press (e.g., to the filter plate or plate frame thereof), and a lid removably fixed to the base, such that an internal conduit of the outlet piece assembly running between a vat end and a discharge end is formed between the base and the lid. This enables a part of an associated filtrate vat component, such as the vat liner, to be received between the base and the lid, thereby ensuring secure sealing between these components.

摘要： A method for thickening a cryogenic slurry is disclosed. The method comprises providing a cryogenic slurry flow path, a cryogenic liquid discharge path, and a filter medium between the cryogenic slurry flow path and the cryogenic liquid discharge path. The cryogenic slurry comprises a solid and a cryogenic liquid. The cryogenic slurry is fed into the cryogenic slurry flow path, generally tangential to the filter medium. This causes a portion of the cryogenic liquid to cross the filter medium into the cryogenic liquid discharge path as a cryogenic liquid discharge and the cryogenic slurry to thicken to produce a thickened slurry. The filter medium comprises a cryogenically-stable material such that adsorption of gases is inhibited, deposition of solids is prevented, and temperature-change induced expansion and contraction of the filter medium is optimized.

In order to simplify the disassembly of the cloth, the shoe is movably anchored in the filter plate, and the shoe is automatically lifted off from the filter plate and the clamping of the filter cloth is released when the device is opened.

摘要： A process and apparatus for the batch-wise filtering of a sludge-like material in which the discharge period of the filter press is used for filling a pressure vessel containing air with a pump being also used during this period. During the filtration period the pump can operate solely for feeding the filter press to thereby increase the filtration capacity and reduce the required filtration period. During the discharge period the pump also operates exclusively for feeding the pressure vessel to further speed up the process. The pump can operate continuously and the different steps of the process can be controlled by only opening and closing control valves.
