摘要： A connector includes two housings coupled with each other to hold a cable therebetween. One of the housings includes a cable receiving portion for receiving the cable, a restricting portion adjacent to the cable receiving portion, a first wall portion formed outside the restricting portion and defining a space between the first wall portion and the restricting portion, and a first engaging portion inwardly protruding from the first wall portion. Another of the housings includes a cable pressing portion for pressing the cable towards the cable receiving portion and the restricting portion, and a second wall portion formed adjacent to the cable pressing portion and inserted into the space. The second wall portion has a second engaging portion extending outward from the second wall portion. The first and the second engaging potions are engaged with each other to prevent the housings from separating from each other.

摘要： A passenger detecting system includes a plurality of antenna electrodes provided in a seat, a signal generating section, a detecting section, a switching circuit and a control unit. The signal generating section generates an electrode signal. The switching circuit sequentially supplies the electrode signal to the plurality of antenna electrodes one by one in response to a switching control signal. The detecting section detects change of the electrode signal to generate a detection signal when the electrode signal is supplied to each of the plurality of antenna electrodes. The control unit outputs the switching control signal to the switching circuit and generates a passenger data associated with a passenger on the seat based on the detection signal for each of the plurality of antenna electrodes.

The system comprises a seat having a seat supporting section in which an antenna electrode is provided; a voltage generation device for generating a high-frequency and low-voltage signal which induces a weak electric field around the antenna electrode; a current detection section for detecting a current which flows according to the generated weak electric field; and a control circuit for detecting a leaning condition of the passenger against the seat supporting section, based on a signal output from the current detection section; and an airbag apparatus including a side airbag unit positioned close to a door, the apparatus having a function of deploying the side airbag unit when a collision occurs. Data representing results detected by the control circuit is sent to the airbag apparatus so as to set the side airbag unit to one of the deployable and non-deployable states.

摘要： A two-way CATV system having a substantial number of terminals incorporates a central processor and transmitter system which continually interrogates the terminals at high speed, monitoring changes of usage of premium programs and other data while also permitting central control of access to restricted premium programs. For inexpensive but reliable intercommunication, short, fixed word length digital messages are frequency multiplexed onto the cable in both upstream and downstream directions, and subscriber groups are controllably selected in turn, with each subscriber being scanned in what may be an arbitrary order by transmission of unique private messages which are recognized at the terminal and in response to which previously prepared fixed length messages are immediately transmitted in return. By employing both upstream and downstream messages which are initiated by a series of synchronizing bits and non-ambiguously related subsequent data sequences, and by the provision of means to initiate both downstream and upstream messages of short length without delay, rapid but reliable data interchange is effected despite differences in transmission and response times with different subscribers. Concurrently, terminal status and various special conditions including security alarms are remotely processed at each terminal, and short upstream messages are assembled containing priority selected data to be transmitted in response to an interrogation. The system incorporates additional means for monitoring power status, program selection and authorization and other operating conditions at each terminal effectively to provide accurate and reliable accounting information while preventing unauthorized or improper usage of restricted premium programs.

In the apparatus for detecting seated condition, antenna electrodes are provided in the inside the seat so that the electric field generates between the ground and the antenna electrodes.
