摘要： The invention provides polyurethane components and compositions capable of providing internal mold release properties in SRIM applications. The polyol composition of the invention has an isocyanate reactive polyol (A) having a number average molecular weight from 100 to about 10,000 and an effective amount of internal mold release composition (B) having a silicon-containing polymer (a) and an epoxidized ester (b). The invention further provides an SRIM polyurethane composition useful in the preparation of molded polyurethane articles having internal mold release properties, the composition comprising an isocyanate component (I) and the isocyanate reactive polyol composition (component (II)) disclosed above. In another aspect of the invention, the invention provides methods of using the claimed compositions as well as the rigid cellular polyurethane SRIM articles resulting from such processes.

摘要： The invention pertains to a low weight, low density rigid polyurethane-polyurea reinforced reaction injection molded (RRIM) part having wollastonite reinforcing fibers dispersed throughout a matrix made by reacting polyisocyanates with a resin containing hydroxy group tertiary amine polyether polyols, a water as a blowing agent, and optionally surfactants, chain extenders, and urethane promoting catalysts. The low density RRIM part using wollastonite and the tertiary amine polyether polyols is a low cost alternative to glass fiber reinforced low density parts, and the part exhibits good mechanical properties and quick demold times.

摘要： This apparatus uses a programmable controller to control laser beam and standard fiber chopper units. The units usually are affixed to resin mix heads. The conventional choppers use steel blades that are randomly spaced, angled and sized. The PC also varies the speed of the standard chopper. The laser device operates in a manner that allows one to set the pulse rate for the specific purpose of varying the fiber length. During operation, the intensity of the laser may be adjusted to accommodate cutting or different sizes and kinds of fibers. The apparatus preferably produces fiber reinforced urethane substrates such as interior door panels for automobile doors.
