    • A fire fighting accessory for diverting the water flow generated by a jet propulsion system from the drive unit to a fire fighting implement, the accessory specifically designed to be attached to an existing drive system in a noninterfering relationship with the steering nozzle of the jet. The accessory may be mounted either downstream or upstream of the jet outlet and is controllable from within the vessel. In one embodiment, the accessory coupler is moved into and out of engagement with the drive unit. In an alternative embodiment, a valve system is used to direct water into either the jet outlet or the accessory coupler.

    • A folding blade propeller for a power vessel wherein the blades are synchronized in their pivotal movement as they pivot from one position to the other by flexible links. The flexible links are connected at one end thereof to the base of one propeller blade and at the opposite to the base of another and act as pulling members. When one blade pivots the flexible link pulls on the base of the other blade to which it is attached to simultaneously pivot that blade. Slack in the links is minimized by having each link in rolling contact with rounded surfaces on the base of the respective propeller blades that are interconnected by that link.

    • A number of embodiments of watercraft having jet propulsion units contained within a tunnel in the hull and wherein the jet propulsion unit is pivotal about a first transversely extending horizontal pivot axis for bringing the jet propulsion unit through trim adjusted positions to an upward out of the water position. In addition, the jet propulsion unit is rotatable about a horizontal longitudinally extending axis so that its downwardly facing water inlet portion may be rotated upwardly for access through an access opening in the hull for servicing. In one embodiment, the jet propulsion unit is only rotatable about the horizontal longitudinally extending axis. A number of embodiments of rudder assemblies are also depicted supported by the steering nozzle for generating steering effects when the steering nozzle is not generating a significant steering effect and which may be pivoted to an out of the water position for protection when underwater obstacles are struck.
