    • A hand-held power tool 1 has a tool socket 2 to hold a tool 4 on a working axis 11, a motor 5 and a pneumatic striking mechanism 6. A driven shaft 7 is coupled to the tool socket 2 in order to rotate the tool around the working axis 11. A slip clutch 24 is arranged in the drive train between the motor 5 and the driven shaft 7. The slip clutch 24 has a disk 25 on the drive side and a disk 26 on the driven side. On a driving ring surface 28 that is in contact with the disk 26 on the driven side, the disk 25 on the drive side has first sectors 33 that have a high friction value as well as second sectors 34 that have a low friction value. On the driven ring surface 29 that is in contact with the driving ring surface 28, the disk 26 on the driven side has third sectors 35 that have a high friction value as well as fourth sectors 36 that have a low friction value.

    • A hammer drill (100) comprises an electric motor (110), a piston (127) as a driving member and a controller (199) which controls and drives the electric motor (110). The piston (127) is reciprocated by rotation of the electric motor (110) and thereby a hammer bit (119) is driven in its longitudinal direction. The hammer bit (119) is moved forward in response to a forward movement stroke of the piston (127) and thereby a hammering operation is performed by the hammer bit (119). The controller (199) sets a duty ratio of a driving pulse signal which drives the electric motor (110) in the forward movement stroke of the piston (127) to be larger in order to prevent a reduction of a rotation speed of the electric motor (110) due to a load applied on the electric motor (110) during the forward movement stroke of the piston (127).

    • A hydraulic impact hammer having a hammer housing and a hydraulic piston. The hammer housing has means for attaching a hydraulic rotator converter which has a hydraulic rotator for rotating a drill bit for drilling holes on a surface while the drill bit receives pounding action from the piston. The drill bit has surface portions dimensioned to mate with bushing assembles and a cutout region to loosely engage with the locking mechanism in the hammer housing. After the holes are drilled, the converter is released from the hammer housing so as to allow a hammer tool with a larger diameter to be used for pounding over the holes. The hammer tool also has surface portions dimensioned to mate with the bushing assembles and a cutout region to engage with the locking mechanism so that the hammer tool can receive pounding action from the piston for pounding over the holes.
