    • A driver circuit and a diagnostic method are provided. The circuit includes a first voltage driver having a first output line electrically coupled to a main contactor coil of a main contactor. The circuit further includes a microprocessor that measures a first voltage on a first voltage feedback line if the main contactor coil is not energized. The microprocessor measures a second voltage on a second voltage feedback line if the main contactor coil is not energized. The microprocessor sets a status flag equal to a fault condition value if the first voltage is greater than a threshold voltage value. Also, the microprocessor sets the status flag equal to the fault condition value if the second voltage is greater than the threshold voltage value.

    • Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling a boost converter. In one embodiment, the method processes a command signal in a slew rate limiting circuit. The output of the slew rate limiting circuit is then processed using one or more feedback parameters from the proportional integrator to provide a processed command signal. The processed command signal is processed with a controlled signal to provide an error signal which is provided to the proportional integrator to provide a current command signal. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes an error generating circuit configured to provide a processed command signal using one or more feedback parameters from the proportional integrator, and to provide the error signal by subtracting a signal to be controlled from the processed command signal. A slew rate limiting circuit is used to receive a command signal and provide an output to the error generating circuit.

    • A high-voltage discharge circuit diagnostic system includes a high voltage DC link with a positive DC link and a negative DC link, a first resistor selectably connectable between the positive DC link and the negative DC link, and a second resistor connected between the positive DC link and the negative DC link. A control module connects the first resistor between the positive DC link and the negative DC link until the high voltage DC link discharges to a first voltage after which the control module disconnects the first resistor from between the positive DC link and the negative DC link to permit continued discharge of the high voltage DC link through the second resistor to a second voltage through an elapsed time period. The control module diagnoses a fault in the second resistor based upon the first voltage, the second voltage, and the elapsed time period.
