    • An information display apparatus includes a matrix of thin-film light-emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed on a transparent substrate. The thin-film LEDs are epitaxially grown on a semiconductor substrate, then transferred in strips to the transparent substrate, anchored by intermolecular forces, and separated into individual LEDs by photolithography and etching. The anodes and cathodes of the thin-film LEDs are connected to anode and cathode driving circuits by a matrix of thin-film electrical paths formed on the transparent substrate. The matrix of LEDs and interconnections is dense enough to display images of high quality, and provides enough pixels for the display of useful text and graphics on even small information display devices.

Generally, a nozzle is provided and includes a liquid discharge orifice configured to discharge a bead of liquid adhesive. First and second pattern air discharge orifices are associated with the first liquid discharge orifice to vacillate or oscillate the adhesive bead. First and second cleaning and stabilizing air discharge orifices are also associated with the first liquid discharge orifice. These latter air discharge orifices keep airborne contaminants away from the associated liquid discharge orifice and also stabilize the oscillation of the adhesive bead in a single plane. A method in accordance with the invention includes using the nozzle to dispense a vacillating bead of adhesive onto a strand of material.

    • A stepping motor includes (a) a rotor being driven by exciting a driving coil, (b) a position detector including a magnetic flux generator for outputting a signal in the same phase as a polarity position of a magnet mounted to the rotor and a magnetic sensor receiving magnetic force from the magnetic flux generator, (c) a controller for controlling the stepping motor responsive to a position detection signal supplied from the position detector, (d) a board on which the magnetic sensor and the controller are mounted, and (e) a sensor cover for positioning the magnetic sensor, dissipating heat of the controller and for covering at least a part of the position detector and the controller. This structure allows the controller and the magnetic sensor to avoid the heat generated by the stepping motor. This structure also allows to assemble a motor sub-assembly including the driving coil, the rotor and the magnetic flux generator independently of and separately from a sensor sub-assembly including the board and the sensor cover. Thus the productivity increases and material loss decreases.
