The device includes a housing defining an internal cavity and a plurality of light transmitting apertures defined generally around the periphery of the housing. An illuminator is rotatably mounted within the housing by an indexing mechanism causing the illuminator to stop adjacent one of the apertures. The chance device further includes a switch for alternately energizing the illuminating device at the termination of rotation to direct a flashing beam through the selected aperture. The game board includes a position for mounting the chance device and radial indicia extending away from the chance device in directions aligned with the apertures defined in the housing.

摘要： An amusement device for children and the like useful for spelling education includes a toy with a support structure comprising an elongated horizontal shaft extending between opposite end portions which are adapted to rest on a supporting surface and which are fashioned to resemble the head and tail portions of a "bee-like" insect. A plurality of spinner elements are mounted on the shaft between opposite end portions and are adapted for manual spinning on the shaft. Each of the spinning elements is formed with a polygonal shaped centrally disposed opening for accommodating the shaft and a corresponding generally polygonal outer surface having a plurality of outer surface segments, each of which is provided with a selected alpha-numeric character. The polygonal openings of the spinners and the outer surface segments thereof are orientated with respect to one another whereby only one of the outer surface segments will remain facing upwardly in a "spell" position after the spinner element is manually rotated and finally comes to rest on the shaft.

摘要： An amusement device for several players useful in art education comprises a game board having a playing surface decorated with a plurality of identified, spaced apart, dots arranged in a grid system and a plurality of pictorial symbols which are adapted to be roughly represented by straight lines drawn between selected pairs of said dots in accordance with instructions on program cards corresponding to each of the pictorial symbols represented. A transparent acetate sheet is covered over the playing surface of the game board so that the lines drawn thereon with marker means such as a grease pencil may be erased when a drawing is completed and a new drawing is to be started. Chance means is provided for selecting the starting sequence that the lines are to be drawn in accordance with the program cards, each of which represents one of the symbols on the game board. As each line is drawn in sequence the players may guess as to what the lines being drawn will eventually depict in the way of a particular symbol on the game board, and space is provided for recording of the guesses and players names in sequence.

The video game apparatus also provides for the display of the game player image in a scoring display format wherein the images of a predetermined number of previous game players attaining the highest scores are displayed at the beginning or end of a play of the game.
