    • PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing Fe-Al alloy magnetostrictive material by pack cementation method, the method capable of solving demerits of a conventional magnetostrictive alloy material manufacturing method such as complicated process and high process cost by simplifying process and improving reproducibility. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing Fe-Al alloy magnetostrictive material by pack cementation method comprises a mixing step of mixing a pack containing alumina and Fe-Al alloy as additives and ammonium chloride as an activator; and a reaction step of putting a steel sheet into the pack, and diffusing and penetrating the pack into the steel sheet at a high temperature for several hours, wherein the pack has a composition comprising 30 to 60 wt.% of Al2O3, 25 to 50 wt.% of Fe-20%Al, 5 to 15 wt.% of AlFe and 2 to 10 wt.% of ammonium chloride(NH4Cl), wherein the steel sheet is formed of pure iron, thickness of the steel sheet is in a range of 300 to 400 μm, and the steel sheet is used by adjusting size of the steel sheet according to ultrasonic frequency, and wherein the reaction step is performed at a temperature of 1,000 to 1,200 deg.C for 2 to 6 hours.
