    • A graphic processing apparatus and a graphic processing method therefor are provided to combine 240 colors and embody a part corresponding to a core image such as 256 colors on a basic background graphic embodied by 16 colors to reduce the storing capacity of a memory and enhance the quality of a displayed graphic. A graphic resource memory unit(110) divides and stores the first color graphic resource and the second graphic resource. A CLUT(Color LookUp Table) data memory unit(120) divides and stores the first CLUT data and a plurality of the second CLUT data. A graphic processing unit(130) combines the second CLUT data corresponding to a corresponding image among a plurality of the second CLUT data with the first CLUT data, and generates the combined CLUT data. The graphic processing unit(130) shifts index data of the second color graphic resource by a designated offset, and generates index data corresponding to the combined CLUT data. The graphic processing unit(130) maps color values of the generated index data and the combined CLUT data, and embodies a part corresponding to the corresponding image as the second color on a basic background graphic embodied as the first color.
