    • PURPOSE: A facsimile apparatus is provided to perform facsimile communication with a facsimile apparatus connected with a public network by using the existing facsimile element while performing facsimile communication with a facsimile apparatus connected with an IP network by using a voice-regarded facsimile element. CONSTITUTION: A network interface element(26) connects to an IP network through a LAN(Local Area Network) or a public line. A TCP(Transmission Control Protocol)/UDP(User Datagram Protocol)/IP(Internet Protocol) control element(25) is connected with the network interface element for controlling real-time transmission protocol. A voice coding/decoding element(21) codes and decodes voice signals. A facsimile modem(20) modulates and demodulates facsimile signals. A first T30 protocol control element(19A) controls T.30 protocol. A first communication image processing element(18A) performs image processing of communication image data. An image storing element(14) stores image data.

    • PURPOSE: An Internet facsimile transmission method is provided to prevent facsimile document transmission failure so as to improve reliability of transmission data. CONSTITUTION: Facsimile transmission information is inputted(200), and a document to be transmitted is scanned(201). When scanning is finished, one of telephone network transmission, E-mail transmission and real-time Internet transmission modes is selected and the scanned document is transmitted through the selected transmission mode(203). The facsimile transmission information includes a name, telephone number, E-mail address and IP address. The facsimile transmission information is directly inputted or read from an address list.

    • PURPOSE: A method for transmitting documents of multiple formats in an all-in-one-system is provided to sufficiently utilize the functions of a fax model of a facsimile and transmit data at a more stable speed than that of e-mail which has a different transmission speed according to the speed of a network, since binary data as well as fax data can be transmitted by converting protocols at the facsimile of the all-in-one-system. CONSTITUTION: When a key for transmitting a document set in the all-in-one-system is selected, the document is exchanged with a protocol for controlling the sending and receiving of a scanned fax data(S203, S204, S205, S206). The fax data is transmitted to a predetermined destination(S207). When the transmission of the fax data is completed, it is checked if a binary data created by an application program of a computer interfacing with the all-in-one-system is accompanied or not(S209). If the binary data is accompanied, the protocol is converted into a protocol for controlling the sending and receiving of a binary data(S210, S211). The binary data is transmitted to the destination according to the converted protocol(S212).
