    • The present invention relates to a network device for transmitting and receiving facsimile data and a method of transmitting and receiving facsimile data using the same and, more particularly, to a network device for transmitting and receiving facsimile data and a method of transmitting and receiving facsimile data using the same capable of transmitting and receiving facsimile data conveniently at low costs for 24 hours. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the network device for transmitting and receiving facsimile data comprises: a facsimile unit for transmitting and receiving facsimile data; a data storage unit for storing the facsimile data; a routing unit for providing a routing function for setting a destination of the facsimile data; and a network file server for sharing the facsimile data stored in the data storage unit with a connected external device according to the routing function. The external device is at least a computer, printer, mobile terminal or a facsimile connected by either or both near field communication, wired communication or wireless communication through the network file server. The shared facsimile data can be modified, stored or outputted from the external devices.

    • A method and an apparatus for forwarding facsimile data are provided to reduce a communication cost by shortening a transmission time and avoid a problem of delay of facsimile reception and forwarding operation. The second facsimile receives the second facsimile data from the first facsimile(200). It is checked whether the previously received first facsimile data is being forwarded(202). If the first facsimile data is being forwarded, the second facsimile data is allowed to be combined with the first facsimile data being forwarded(204). Following the forwarding of the first facsimile data, the second facsimile data is forwarded to the third facsimile(206). If the first facsimile data is not being forwarded, it is checked whether the first facsimile data is in a forwarding standby state(208). If the first facsimile data is not in the forwarding standby state, the first and second facsimile data are forwarded after the second facsimile data is completely received(210).

    • A facsimile system is provided to connect a plurality of facsimile numbers with a single binding ID to facilitate the management of the reception of facsimile data.
