    • The present invention relates to a metamaterial resonator. The metamaterial resonator includes a resonator part which is formed on the upper surface of a dielectric substrate with a ground surface on the bottom and has a lattice structure. The resonator part comprises a first horizontal bar; a second horizontal bar which is arranged in parallel to the first horizontal bar at the lower side of the first horizontal bar; a first vertical bar which connects one ends of the first horizontal bar and the second horizontal bar in the longitudinal direction; a third horizontal bar which is arranged in parallel between the first horizontal bar and the second horizontal bar; a fourth horizontal bar which is arranged in parallel at the lower side of the second horizontal bar; a second vertical bar which connects the other ends of the third horizontal bar and the fourth horizontal part in the longitudinal direction; a third vertical bar which connects the center parts of the second horizontal part and the fourth horizontal bar; a fifth horizontal bar which is arranged in parallel at the lower side of the fourth horizontal bar; a fourth vertical bar which connects one ends of the fourth horizontal bar and the fifth horizontal bar in the longitudinal direction; a sixth horizontal bar which is arranged in parallel between the fourth horizontal bar and the fifth horizontal bar; a seventh horizontal bar which is arranged in parallel at the lower side of the fifth horizontal bar; and a fifth vertical bar which connects the other ends of the sixth horizontal bar and the seventh horizontal bar. The metamaterial resonator is provided to obtain the characteristics of a high Q value in a resonant frequency by applying a metamaterial lattice structure. Furthermore, the metamaterial resonator can obtain the resonant characteristics of a higher Q value by connecting an active device to the metamaterial resonator.

    • A chip element (1) is a filter having an earth electrode (15) and a plurality of principal face electrodes (13A), (13B) and (14) disposed on a dielectric substrate (10) of a flat plate shape. The principal face electrodes (13A) and (13B) are connected through shorting side face electrodes (11A) and (11B) with the earth electrode (15) thereby to form a 1/4 wavelength resonance line. The principal face electrode (14) is arranged between the principal face electrodes (13A) and (13B), and is opened at its two ends to constitute a half-wavelength resonance line. Each of the principal face electrodes (13A) and (13B) includes parallel portions (19) arranged in parallel with and close to the principal face electrode (14), and bent portions (18) bend from the parallel portions (19) and extending toward the other principal face electrodes (13A) and (13B) thereby to form jump joints. The shorting side face electrodes (11A) and (11B) are jump-jointed to the bent portions (18).

    • PURPOSE: An unified package of a superconductive filter and an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) and a tuning device thereof are provided to prevent a variation of a tuning characteristic of the superconductive filter by reducing a matching loss between the superconductive filter and the LNA. CONSTITUTION: An unified package includes a superconductive filter(10), an LNA(20), an interconnection line(30), and a cap(40). The LNA is located at a side portion of the superconductive filter. The interconnection line is used for connecting electrically the superconductive filter with the LNA by using a wire bonding method. The cap is used for packaging the superconductive filter and the LNA. The wire bonding process is performed by using Au. The superconductive filter and the LNA are packaged by the cap, respectively.

    • A tunable device for a microwave/a millimeter wave using a transmission line strip is provided to tune a resonance frequency for improving a tunable characteristic while minimizing a size of a device. A tunable device for a microwave/a millimeter wave using a transmission line strip includes one or more open-circuited resonators(403), one or more opened transmission strips(406), and tunable capacitors(405). The open-circuited resonators are formed on a substrate and are coupled with each other. The transmission line strips are provided in the open-circuited resonators. The tunable capacitors are connected between opened ends(403a) of the open-circuited resonators and opened ends(401a,402a) of the transmission line strips. Electrical lengths of the transmission line strips are a half wavelength or less.
