    • A write current optimization method of an HDD(Hard Disk Drive), a recording medium appropriate therefor, and an appropriate device therefor are provided to adaptively optimize a write current according to changes of driving power of a preamplifier circuit which provides the write current to a head, thereby preventing ATE and WW(Weak Write) phenomena from occurring by the changes. A driving voltage of a preamplifier circuit is detected(S602). A voltage difference between a reference driving voltage and the detected driving voltage of the circuit is calculated(S604). A write current is optimized according to the calculated voltage difference(S606). Data is recorded on a disk with the optimized write current(S608), and the recorded data is read(S610). A gain of the preamplifier circuit is detected(S612), and a difference between the detected gain and a reference gain is calculated(S614). It is decided whether the calculated gain difference is larger than a predetermined threshold value(S616). If not, the process is completed.
