    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for analyzing music using sound information of a musical instrument is provided to promptly and accurately analyze digital sound including monotone and compound sounds. CONSTITUTION: An instrument sound information storing unit(10) stores sound information by musical instruments. A sound information selecting unit(180) selects and outputs sound information of wanted instruments. A digital sound input unit(110) inputs music played at the outside after converting into a digital sound. A frequency analyzing unit(120) analyzes the digital sound signal for outputting frequency components of the digital sound signal by frame units. A comparison analyzing unit(130) receives the sound information of the corresponding instrument and the frequency components, selects the lowest peak frequency, and derives sound information including the selected peak frequency. A monotone component deriving unit(140) receives the derived sound information, the frequency components, and the lowest peak frequency information for deriving the sound information having peak information most adjacent to the peak frequency as a monotone component. A monotone component removing unit(150) removes the peak frequency from the frequency component and transmits the result to the comparison analyzing unit. A musical sound information deriving unit(160) collects the monotone components for deriving musical sound information. A musical sound information output unit(170) outputs the musical sound information.
