    • PURPOSE: A DNP based SCADA network protection system and a method thereof are provided to realize stable and reliable communication by using encoding and decoding methods to prevent leakage of data from external hacking or cracking. CONSTITUTION: A DNP based SCADA network protection system includes a communication unit, a security process unit(110) and a monitoring control unit(140). The communication unit accesses a data bus of a network of a DNP based SCADA system through a public authorization method. The communication unit transmits and receives control or measurement information in the DNP based SCADA system by receiving a DNP based SCADA data frame. The security process unit performs encoding and decoding processes by receiving the DNP based SCADA data frame through the communication unit. The monitoring control unit receives the control or measurement information through the security process unit and monitors and controls a state of each terminal in the SCADA system.
