    • PURPOSE: An optical waveguide for a touch panel is provided to input light from a lens unit of a light emission side to a lens unit of a light incidence side by locating the lens unit of the light incidence side in a light receiving area regardless of deformation or twist. CONSTITUTION: An optical waveguide includes a plurality of cores(3A,3B) and an overclad layer(4). The overclad layer is formed by coating a plurality of cores. The optical waveguide is installed around a screen of a display of a touch panel. The plurality of core includes a core of a light emission side and a core of a light incidence side. The core of the light emission side has a cross section on one side of the screen of the display. The core of the light incidence side has a cross section on one side of the screen of the display. The overclad layer includes a first cross section and a second cross section. The first cross section coats the cross section of the core of the light emission side and is formed on a lens unit(40A) of the light emission side with a longitudinal cross section arc shaped curved surface. A second cross section coats the cross section of the core of the light incidence side and is formed on a lens unit(40B) of the light incidence side with a longitudinal cross section arc shaped curved surface.
