    • PURPOSE: A method for predicting the foaming interval of glass using an expansion coefficient measuring device is provided to make a process control and a process optimization by exactly predicting the forming interval of glass using an expansion coefficient measuring device. CONSTITUTION: A method for predicting the foaming interval of glass using an expansion coefficient measuring device comprises the following steps. The curve showing a temperature rising speed, a maintaining time and an expansion and shrinkage according to the change of a cooling speed is obtained using an expansion coefficient measuring device. The optimal rising speed of foam glass is obtained by observing the change of expansion and shrinkage according to the adjustment of the rising speed. The exact maintaining time is obtained by observing the change of expansion and shrinkage according to the change of the maintaining time. The exact cooling speed is predicted by observing the expansion and shrinkage according to the adjustment of the cooling speed.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for testing thermal conductivity of plate glass are provided to precisely and easily measure thermal conductivity of plate glass by calculating thermal conductivity of plate glass using a contact area with respect to water and thickness of plate glass. CONSTITUTION: A thermal conductivity testing apparatus(100) includes a vessel(10), a cover(20), a temperature sensor(30), a data processing unit(40), and a display section(50). The vessel(10) is formed at a center thereof with an insertion hole(15), into which plate glass(200) is inserted. After the plate glass(200) is inserted into the insertion hole(15) of the vessel(10), two kinds of water having different temperatures from each other are contained in the vessel(10). The cover(20) is aligned at an upper portion of the vessel(10) in order to cover the vessel(10). The temperature sensor(30) measures the temperatures of water contained in the vessel(10) in real time.
