    • Provided is a micropump device exhibiting good controllability of the quantity of gas generated from a gas generating material and the pumping quantity of a micropump. A micropump device comprises a micropump (10) and a controller (50). The micropump (10) comprises a microchannel (22) that is a liquid channel, a gas generating material (34) for generating gas by receiving irradiation of light and supplying the gas to the microchannel (22), and a light source (42) for irradiating the gas generating material (34) with light (44). The controller (50) supplies the light source (42) with a control pulse signal (CS) for flickering the light source (42) in two-level state by repeating a pulse sequence pattern consisting of a plurality of bits of a fixed number, each bit of which can take two states of a first level for lighting the light source (42) and a second level for unlighting the light source (42).

    • The invention relates to a metering pump (1), especially for lubricants, and to a method for the long-term lubrication of a lubrication point (16) preferably over several years. Said metering pump (1) is provided with at least one metering piston driven by an actuator (5). In order to allow for as compact a design as possible, the actuator (5) comprises at least one heating element (8) and an expansion element (6, 7) heated by said heating element (8). The expansion element is heated up by energy supplied to the heating element and the expansion material expands, thereby displacing the metering piston (4). The invention also relates to a lubricant reservoir (18) that is fastened on the metering pump in an air-tight manner. Electrodes(151,152) apply an electric current to the heating element. The fluid flows according to expansion and contraction of the bubbles. At least one of the fluid inflow path and the fluid outflow path has a shape changing a cross-sectional area according to a flowing direction of the fluid.
