    • PURPOSE: A muffler containing a refrigerating wing and a branch exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine is provided to prevent environmental pollution by purifying and collecting polluted gas. CONSTITUTION: A muffler having a branch exhaust pipe and a refrigerating pipe of an internal combustion engine comprises a branch exhaust pipe(4) mounted on an exhaust pipe(3); a noise reducing tank(5) installed on a lower portion of the exhaust pipe by having a refrigerating wing; a catalyst unit(6) arranged on an exhaust gas drain line; and a middle muffler(7) discharging exhaust gas; and a drain cock collecting purified water. The exhaust gas is not exhausted in the catalyst unit. Thus, the exhaust gas generates purified water by evaporating liquid fuel through heat generated in an engine combustion chamber. The purified water is flown into the noise-reducing tank having the refrigerating wing. Thereby, the muffler having the branch exhaust pipe and the refrigerating pipe of the internal combustion engine prevents environmental pollution by purifying and collecting polluted gas.
