The ends of the heat shield and the catalytic converter are joined to each other through a joint member by interposing the insulation and vibration protection member in between the catalytic converter and heat shield. The insulation and vibration protection member is made of a wire mesh(40).

When there is compressing at 10-1000 kPa pressure, the thickness is 1-49 mm and the tightening density is 0.1-1.2 g/cm^3.
