    • PURPOSE: A method for collecting aluminum compounds and methyl methacrylate from waste artificial marble based on alkaline treatment is provided to collect liquid aluminum compounds and to collect remaining poly methyl methacrylate(PMMA) without a high temperature pyrolysis process. CONSTITUTION: Uniform powder is sorted from waste artificial marble(P100). Alkaline compounds are mixed with the sorted powder to form a slurry by dissolving aluminum components from the powder(P200). Water is mixed with the slurry, and the aluminum components and the alkaline compounds are reacted by raising a temperature to obtain aluminum compounds(P300). The aluminum compounds are solid PMMA are separated using a solid-liquid separating unit(P400). The solid PMMA is dehydrated and powdered(P500).
