    • PURPOSE: Catalytic materials including nano-size siderite or iron sulfide and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to have a simple manufacturing process, and to be used as a catalyst for purification of the water contaminated by the heavy metal which is sensitive to oxidation-reduction from the oxidation of iron mineral, or the waste water contaminated by organic load decomposable by oxidation-reduction reaction. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of catalytic materials including nano-size siderite or iron sulfide comprises: a step of glucose to the precipitate of acid mine drainage; and a step of fermenting the glucose-added precipitate at anaerobic condition. The above reaction is progressed under the temperature of 20-30°C and pressure condition of 0.8-1.2 atm for 15-30 days. The particle size of the iron sulfide is 40-60 nm. The particle size of the siderite is 400-600 nm.
